If I can find a USB key there is an updated kmod-wl src.rpm that *may*

This is why you should have done as others had suggested. It automatically sets up grub with the new kernels.

Upgrade to CentOS 6.5 -> issue with Broadcom Wifi
Hello there!
I was running CentOS 6.4 system on my Dell Latitude E6530 flawlessly,
until I upgraded to CentOS 6.5.
Now the wifi doesn't show up (it's a Broadcom Wifi BT4313, 14e4:4727), I
tried to follow the steps from http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/Wireless/Broadcom
but when attempting to compile the Broadcom driver module, the make
command fails in a way that is not described

PAM_shield locking me out?
Yesterday I installed pam_shield and followed the testing suggested and
thought all was well.
today I find that I cannot get to my email account, I can login via ssh
okay (uses keys) but su and sudo give
segmentation faults. I am guessing due to the pam module causing a problem.
As I cannot do remote login as root and sudo and su use pam I appear to
have locked myself out.
Any words of wisdom

Centos7.3-Mate
Hello All,
I have this problem starting Centos7.3 - the official name escapes me at the moment.
I often install Centos7 Minimal, then X Window System, then Mate desktop.
This last step gives me trouble, and I have to run
# yum groupinstall mate --skip-broken
output:
skipped packages:
NetworkManager-I2tp
ldns
libreswan
unbound-libs
xl2tpd
I realise this is probably an issue for EPEL

Kernel crash
Hi everyone,
I updated the kernel from 3.10.0-514.16.1.el7.x86_64
to 3.10.0-693.2.2.el7.x86_64 . While I was following these steps
https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/Wireless/Broadcom (I knew that I
needed to compile again everything) in order to activate WIFI, the laptop
crashed doing
# depmod -a
# modprobe wl
Noting that I replaced (naively) # depmod $(uname -r) from the guide

Broadcom BCM4352 on Centos 7
Hi Folks
I'm trying to get my internal WiFi working and I'm following the instructions
here:
https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/Wireless/Broadcom
My adaptor is:

However, I've failed at step 2 as I cannot find any Linux / STA /

mounting lvm2
CentOS 7 for everything
I am probably never using lvm again. I have never not once actually
benefited from its capabilities but this is probably the third or fourth
time it has gotten in my way.
Issue is that I use the tools so rarely that I can't recall what needs
to be done to properly mount the drives on another system and finding
that info on the web is becoming more difficult as the

A last, desperate hope - video modes
Hi, folks. This is, in fact, off-topic: I'm fighting a user's FC19 box. I
updated him, rebooted... and his ATI video card seems to not be supported
any more (and it's *not* that old - an RV620).
The thing that drives me crazy is, when I reinstalled the whole system,
whatever video driver the installer used for graphical install *worked*.
So: does anyone have any idea a) what driver

This is a continuation of my previous thread:
"Broadcom Wifi Problem"
Following a post from "James A. Peltier", who said:
You can use the rpmforge version or compile it
yourself. I've used this one with success using the
details described earlier.

I did however have to patch it with
