Repo data lagging behind
Hello,
I just noticed there's a security update for openldap on C6 that's a few
days old. However my box is not receiving the update. I've checked both
ftp://ftp.plusline.de and ftp://ftp.nluug.nl. Both have the updates in
the Packages directory, which has a mod time of 2012-08-08. However, the
corresponding repodata directories on both mirrors have a mod time of
2012-08-06. Any

rpm conflict on new install
Yesterday I did a clean install of Centos 6 -> Workstation -> Plasma.
I then added some recommended repo's and did a yum update.
I'm now getting the following:
[root at lcomp5 ~]# yum check
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks
ipa-client-4.4.0-14.el7.centos.4.x86_64 has installed conflicts

yum excludes
dear all
Every yum command returns "nvidia excluding" lines, and those items are invisible for installation, see lower.
I have no idea where those excludes are defined.
Also, the flag "--disableexcludes=all" does not remove the excludes.
any ideas?
thanks

C8 and KDE
Goog morning to the list,
for all users that are interested about KDE Plasma on Centos 8 you can
install KDE from epel.
All packages are get from epel-playground and epel-testing and some
packages seems need to be build.
I run "yum grouplist" and see kde workspace available. I tried to
install it, reboot my machine and running startx a KDE plasma session
was correctly launched.

yum update problem - dependancy problem
I'm sure this is a FAQ, and a simple answer is available, but I've not managed
it yet. I've tried all of the RPM database tidy routines. I've tried
uninstalling the libblueray1 library but the ever growning dependency tree
was too big.
For a while I've been updating using the command
yum -y --skip-broken --exclude rpcbind update
which I though t was working, but the

Where can I find list of "Core" and "Base" install groups?
e.g. what packages are in them, as well as other groups or
group-related options which may exist...
Thanks,

Find installed yum groups?
Is there an 'after the fact' way to find what yum groups are
installed, including ones that were added with 'yum groupinstall'
instead of the initial anaconda install?

Groups and rpms
yum grouplist is almost ok for learning what groups are
available.Though it does not distinguish between base/manditory and
added in the installed list.
But yum list is not really helpful.
I would like to see something of what rpms are within what
group. then what rpms are not in any group. And which groups and
stand-a-lone rpms are base.
maybe it can be teased out of comp.xml...

yum annoyances
yum grouplist \*office\*
returns
Installed Groups:
Office Suite and Productivity
But the *only* way to see what's in the group is
yum groupinfo \*office\*
With or without quotes around Office Suite and Productivity, it refuses to
admit that any such thing's installed.

Kickstart package groups
Hello,
I'm building another kickstart CD, minimal, and creating my own repository.
Is there any way I can get the list of files that a group (like @core o
@base) will install?
The idea is to put only those files in the repository to be included
later in the iso file, and only those files, nothing else.
Thanks in advance
Francisco
