How to convert /etc/machine-id into a default-duid for IPv6 static DHCP?
Hi, The use-case is deploying C7 VMs with a pre-set machine-id and default-duid based on the machine-id to facilitate static DHCP with IPv6. The default-duid is found in dhclient6-<value>-eth0.lease and IPv6 DHCP uses default-duid like IPv4 DHCP uses MAC addresses for static DHCP. How does one convert /etc/machine-id to a default-duid (in bash)? 1) /etc/machine-id -> DUID: <read

Samba Children aren't dying, fighting instead
Hello All, First I would like to thank you all for for providing such a wonderful forum for Samba discussion. I have learned *vast* amounts perusing this list. I also would like to thank people for their replies to my previous question (Re: lock files on write protected shares). That all works great now! My most irritating problem recently has become worse as more people are using the

This is that system with the missing management port, and I'm still fighting it. Everything *looks* right: 3: enp6s0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,UP,LOWER_UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast state UP group default qlen 1000 link/ether 00:25:90:0a:42:87 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 192.168.0.100/24 brd 192.168.0.255 scope global enp6s0 ip route 192.168.0.0/24 dev enp6s0 proto kernel scope link

Fwd: How to get all combinations between two character vectors?
Hi Rainer Or maybe you are referring to the outer function. I'm a newbie in R, but I recently read something about it in the pdf book named below (pages 91-2). I send to you an excerpt: An introduction to R An introduction to R Longhow Lam 6.2.5 The outer function outer function The function outer performs an outer-product given two arrays (vectors). This can be especially useful

CentOS 7, NM, and IPv6
Hi, folks, I and the other admin here have just been assigned a mission... here's what's happening: only very recently - the last week? our CentOS 7 boxes, or at least some of them, will lose their IPv6 addresses, and not get it back. 1. We're running dibbler on the same box that serves DHCP. 2. It's been working for many months. 3. The lease file remains in place.

Still trying to get it running. Updated CentOS 7, ATI video card, trying to use the radeon driver, and, using the previous kernel, X appears to come up, but gdm fails; with the 514 kernel, X fails to start. And here's a twist: I just rebooted, with radeon.modeset=1 on the kernel line... and for no reason I know of, I get *six* logs, Xorg.[0-5].log. Does this suggest anything to anyone? I
