about sr-iov
Hi,
I got a problem when prepared to pass-thru 82576 ethernet card with SR-IOV
support.
The 82576 card is build-in on the board. When loading igb driver for the
card, dmesg show some errors like:
pci 0000:05:00.0: BAR 10: can''t allocate mem resource
[0xfbf00000-0xfbefffff]
.
igb 0000:05:00.0: not enough MMIO resources for SR-IOV

GT710 and Nouveau on ARM/ARM64
Hi
Seeing as we (Raspberry Pi) have just launched the Compute Module 4
with an exposed PCIe x1 lane, people are asking about adding graphics
cards.
Seeing as you are the people who have the knowledge with regard to
NVidia and nouveau, what are your immediate thoughts of nouveau
working on ARM/ARM64? Is there a chance of this working? I'm no PCIe
expert, although I can call on some expertise

How to find out if the installed NIC supports SR-IOV?
Hi,
I am working with a westemere based server. I need to find out if the NIC
installed there supports SR-IOV - what would be the best way to determine
that?

Kashyap

Video projector vs. onboard video card
Hi,
I have a CentOS 7 desktop client installed on an old Dell Optiplex
computer with an Intel video card integrated into the motherboard. The
card has a single VGA connector, and the 19" monitor is connected to it.
I wonder how I could connect a video projector to this computer while
keeping the monitor, in a mirroring configuration, e. g. output is the
same on the video projector and the

Kernel Panic on HP/Compaq ProLiant G7
Hello Everyone,
I recently installed CentOS 5.5 x86_64 on a brand new ProLiant DL380 G7. I have identical OS software running reock-solid on two other DL380 ProLiant servers, but they are G6 models, not G7. On the G7, the installation went perfectly and the machine ran great for about 2 weeks, when it just seemed to "stop". The system stopped responding on the network, and there was

which server to buy?
Hello!
Please, help me, I''m totally lost choosing basic budget server for XEN.
The variants are Sun (X2200 M2 or Sun X2250 M2) or maybe HP Proliant
DL160 G5p. Or maybe some IBM server?
Which X2200 configuration will perform better, two Opteron dual-core
22xx or single quad-core 23xx?
Which one performing better nowadays, Opteron or Xeon? I know that 2-3

With AMD Opteron 6xxx processors, half of the memory controllers are
missing from /sys/devices/system/edac/mc
Checked with single 6120 (dual memory controller) and twin 6344 (2x dual

The most common issue on arm is that the pci memory window is too narrow to
allocate all the BARs. Can you see if there are messages in the kernel to
that effect?

Bug#810964: [Xen-devel] [BUG] EDAC infomation partially missing
I haven't yet done as much experimentation as Andreas Pflug has, but I
can confirm I'm also running into this bug with Xen 4.4.1.
I've only tried Linux kernel 3.16.43, but as Dom0:
EDAC MC: Ver: 3.0.0
AMD64 EDAC driver v3.4.0
EDAC amd64: DRAM ECC enabled.
EDAC amd64: NB MCE bank disabled, set MSR 0x0000017b[4] on node 0 to enable.
EDAC amd64: ECC disabled in the BIOS or no ECC
