lshw in centos 7
Folks
I've been running lshw for years in both Centos 6 and Centos 7, yet
just recently it started hanging. Neither a Control^C nor a "kill"
of the process cured the hang; only a reboot.
When I run it by hand from the command line, it displays stuff on the
next line overwriting it with things like PCI, USB. And USB is the
last thing I see. A Control-C does not unlock it.

lshw on a newer Dell
Odd thing: I just installed and tried to run lshw on a Dell R415 running
5.8. It goes through the subsystems it's scanning, hits IDE, and that's it
- it just sits there. I've waited minutes.
Anyone else seen this?

John--
Thanks for the suggestion. I finally had a chance to get to the
system in question, It was the only one of many that exhibited the
USB hang. I tried a reboot with the two USB disks
disconnected. Everything worked. I plugged them in, and then did
both "lsusb -v" and "lshw", and again, everything worked.
Continuing my test:

looking for lshw xml parser
Hey folks,
Google brings up one concrete hit at
http://chadsikorra.com/?p=96
but I contacted the author and he said it is buggy and needs a fair
bit of work, so I decided against using it.
That's about all I was able to come up with.
Anything else out there?
thanks,

Miredo server for Centos 6
On delving deeper into Miredo support, it seems that Miredo Server is a
separate program from the Miredo client/relay. And that there is no
Miredo Server available for Centos 6. Not in EPEL 6, or repoforge.
So far the maintainer of Miredo for Fedora/EPEL has not reponded to a
query on its status for EPEL 6. I have to ask on repoforge about
miredo-server.
Anyone know of anywhere else to

Hi all,
I've just migrated my mail system from procmail to managesieve/sieve and
I'm having trouble trying to duplicate a could of rules I used to use in

One particular rule would be this:

perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.35-1.el5.rf.noarch from rpmforge: dependency problem
Hi folks,
I hope this is the right mailing list to ask since on the repoforge
website there is no list or contact information.
I have a problem with updating the perl-Nagios-Plugin package. I have
installed perl-Nagios-Plugin-0.33-1.el6.rf.noarch, and running yum
update leads to:

Does the use of yum priorities take care of this concern?

yum priorities and obsoleting...
Hey,
I ran into a yum conflict regarding an repoforge extra package obsoleting a base package.
The thing is that I set a lower priority to repoforge extra...
Any idea how come I ran into this issue...?
The question is more about the yum priorities than repoforge.

what happened to rpmforge?
When did they change/lose their name?
I was trying to go there here at work, and the site was blocked. I put in
a ticket, and get a response that I may have been looking for repoforge,
and rpmforge is for raw food diets....

Hey,
any puppet user on CentOS 5 using puppet lab's repository...?
I installed their el5 repository but a puppet install asks for:
ruby >= 1.8.7
which is only available on CentOS 6...
Someone using their repo?
Or do you use the repoforge one...?
Thx,

How to get uuid info inside a lxc container created by libvirt_lxc
Hi ,
Is there anyway to get uuid info inside a lxc container which is created
by libvirt_lxc?
For kvm, we can use dmidecode or lshw to get this info inside vm. Is
there any tools
to do this thing for libvirt lxc?
Thanks for any help~
