web based vacation frontend
Hi,
One customer has Centos 5 installed. He wants to have a web based
frontend to the vacation program because he is in charge to enable the
vacation msg for all the users in leave.
I tried webmin but the webmin vacation module points to a nonexistant
link. And the usermin module is very old and requires the user to do
it by themselves.
Suggestions?

Openwebmail dependency problem
Ok, I have to ask. I tried to yum install the latest openwebmail (from
the openwebmail repo), and got a transaction check error about a
conflict with some packages which are needed by amavisd and spamassassin
(packages originating from rpmforge, I think). Below is the yum output.
By googling I found a lot of descriptions of the problem, but no solution.

IMAP storage - mail_location = maildir:~/Maildir:mbox:~/mail/
I'm moving to IMAP and trying to understand all the details of where to
save email. The system is CentOS running sendmail - procmail which
delivers as:
DEFAULT=$HOME/Maildir/
I'm trying also to use Usermin as the webmail client. I can get mail to
deliver to $HOME/Maildir/ and I can get clients (thunderbird outlook
etc) to view them. However Usermin seems stuck with saving

dovecot-uidlist....
Hello Everyone:
????? Is it possible to direct dovecot to modify dovecot-uidlist
automatically??? I have some user who use ancient MUA(i.e. Openwebmail)
and IMAP/POP3. Since Openwebmail will insert "Status: R" in the eml
file, the size of the eml file will increase by 10 bytes. If the user use
Openwebmail first, then the size record(S=xxxx) in dovecot-uidlist will
be fine. But if he

A little OT but hopefully still related enough... Maildir Delivered mail naming problems.
Normally I wouldn't post off topic to a mailing list, but I have posted
every where else I can think of and haven't had any success yet working
this out. I know there has to be a few people here with extensive
knowledge of how mail works and maybe just a tip in the right direction
would help me out at this point.
I have migrated from mbox format to Maildir format in the last week. I

dovecot + openwebmail
Hi,
I'm trying to add some sanity to a badly thought out mail system that,
for various reasons, cant be fixed from the bottom up at this moment in
time.
The system is debian sarge, exim 4.5, doing virtual domains and
delivering into mboxes in /var/spool/virtual/$domain/$user ,
there is webmail access and this allows user to create folders in

Openwebmail emergency (Perl)
After system update yesterday, Openwebmail now gives an error:
> Undefined subroutine &Compress::Zlib::memGzip called at /var/www/cgi-bin/openwebmail/shares/ow-shared.pl line 1175.
I tried to do
perl -MCPAN -e shell
install Compress::Zlib
But it says Compress::Zlib is up-to-date. What do to?? I cannot find an
answer by googling.

Users can't delete an email (Totally Random effect)
Hello all... Found a weird one here. I tried to search the web but I'm
not having luck so I thought I'd hit the mailing list.
We have noticed off and on all school year that every so often a user
gets an email that they just can't delete using Thunderbird or Outlook
over IMAP (we do not support Pop3 anymore.) Essentially the user clicks
the email and takes it to the trash.
