With C6 Gnome and C7 Mate you can right-click on a file icon, select Properties, select Notes, and write notes about your file. Does anyone know if those notes can be directly transferred between C6 Gnome and C7 Mate? I just finished setting this computer up again from scratch since the hard drive died yesterday, and when reinstalling the software that was there before, I discovered that the following packages are not available: beesu caja-beesu caja-extensions-common caja-image-converter caja-open-terminal caja-sendto I'm pretty sure that these came from epel before, but they're now missing? --

Mate is not in the repos. mate-desktop.org has no packages for rhel or centos. How can I install it.
