rpm conflict on new install
Yesterday I did a clean install of Centos 6 -> Workstation -> Plasma. I then added some recommended repo's and did a yum update. I'm now getting the following: [root at lcomp5 ~]# yum check Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks ipa-client-4.4.0-14.el7.centos.4.x86_64 has installed conflicts freeipa-client: ipa-client-4.4.0-14.el7.centos.4.x86_64

yum killed, ipa\* and xorg\* a mess
yum update was killed at an inopportune time, leaving ipa\* and xorg\* in an inconsistent state. yum-complete-transaction looks like it it's going to erase the entire system and then fails. >From the transaction files, the following are in: install 0:ipa-python-2.2.0-17.el6_3.1.x86_64 install 0:ipa-client-2.2.0-17.el6_3.1.x86_64 install

IPA Client Install
Hi Folks. I have installed an ipa server on a linux CentOS release 6.4 (Final). It is using outside DNS. I have https console access authenticating admin user through kerberos, and have migrated information on 80+ users and groups to it from a LDAP server. Packages related to ipa installed are: [root ~]# rpm -qa | grep ipa ipa-server-selinux-3.0.0-26.el6_4.2.x86_64

centOS6 ipa-client update
Using FreeIPA Server V2 and began testing against CentOS6 since it has a better support for SSSD. Ran into an issue with importing a Kerberos keytab to the new host and the FreeIPA folks indicated this is a known bug that was fixed in RHEL5.6: http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHBA-2011-0832.html The new IPA client is ipa-client-2.0-10.el5_6.1. Any idea when this will make it into the CentOS6

Puppet IPA client setup
Hi everyone, I have already started documented and building this privately. However I refuse to believe that there is not a module for setting up a FreeIPA client server on RHEL to authenticate against an existing IPA authentication server. Has anyone actually already done this? If not I will probable post a link to this email with the puppet module I have built. Regards John -- You
