Airprint to old printer using Centos server
Hi folks, I've found a number of articles on setting up a Linux / CUPS / Avahi server to allow airprinting, but they all seem to be quite old. Two questions: 1) Does anyone have a link for a more recent article, hopefully specifically for Centos7. 2) I'm on a structured, VLAN network. Will I have to put a WIFI card into my Centos server to give it a presence on the WIFI before this

Reliable way of having both LAN and WIFI on headless box
Once again I am building a headless Centos 7 box that needs to reliably be on both the LAN and WIFI network at all times. Amongst other things it's going to be an AirPrint bridge enabling IPads to print to printers on a different VLAN. I have asked about this before and got a solution working using nmtui to set up both the LAN and WIFI interface, and activate them. However, the WIFI

Server turns off unexpectedly
The lm_sensors package is required for the sensors module of glances to work. After installing lm_sensors, run sensors-detect. The sensors command will show the sensors detected and their current values. glances should then display the sensor readings. Way to start CDR when call is bridged ?
Hi, in dialplan -Asterisk 16.2 from Debian Buster- we have  same = n,Dial(PJSIP/101&PJSIP/102&PJSIP/103,15,tT) If thew call is not answered after 20 seconds, we launch a new dial with same and/or other extensions  same = n,Dial(PJSIP/101&PJSIP/104&PJSIP/110,20,tT) Looking in CDR we have at the end of the call (here we called 3 extensions which where ringing, let say 110

Problem with 'doveadm mailbox status -t' reporting cumulative vsizes after upgrading from v2.0.16 to v2.1.7
Hi, I upgraded from Dovecot v2.0.16 to v2.1.7 over night and I noticed this morning that one of my daily reports which lists summarised mailbox sizes per user has started listing nonsense for vsizes. The reporting script at its core calls : doveadm -f flow mailbox status -A -t 'messages vsize' '*' It appears that Dovecot 2.1.7 is not resetting the vsize after collating the sum

Airprint to old printer using Centos server
Hi Gary I got this working in a previous role a while ago: http://thirdlineit.blogspot.co.uk/2011/12/active-directory-authenticated-airprint.html (ignore the authentication aspects). I also managed to do it recently on my home network using Ubuntu, so the principle still works. Summary: 1. Install CUPS 2. Enable IPP for the printer queues 3. To make the printers visible across

Centos 6 Airprint using CUPS/Avahi
I've set up another airprint server, but this time I've had to use Centos 6 because of the age of the kit I'm using - an old 1U rack server. I've configured CUPS and also Avahi. I've run airprint-generate.py and copied the .service files to /etc/avahi/services/ Everything looks fine until I try to print from my IPhone. I usually test by trying to print an email. As soon

GeForce 8400 GS
Hi everyone. I read on a 2011 article - http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=article&item=nouveau_comp_2011&num=19 - that my particular card, GeForce 8400 GS, overheats with nouveau. (So, I never tried using if for long, before, as soon as possible, installing the proprietary drivers...) But, because it's a 2-year-old article, I was wondering if that problem could have been, in the

[LLVMdev] FOLLOWUP: Re: Automake Notes (Long)
After puzzling about the size of the executables and the build times, I discovered (thanks Chris!) that I had compiled everything without debug symbols in the automake version. So, here's some revision from the first version of this email. The build times didn't change much (I guess I/O is cheap on my machine). The new "Build With Automake" times are 20m28.672s (elapsed),
