[PATCH 5/8] drm: Nuke drm_atomic_helper_plane_set_property
It's dead code, the core handles all this directly now. This also
allows us to unexport drm_atomic_helper_plane_set_property.

HP Envy EFI problem after BIOS update
All of the following is still under the Centos 7 KDE Live CD:
If I mount /dev/sda2 on /media and have a look, this is the valid EFI
filesystem, including the Fedora and Centos entries.
If I try to mount /dev/sda6 on /media it looks to be a valid /boot filesystem.
If I mount /dev/sda6 as /boot and mount /dev/sda2 as /boot/efi before running
Jim's efibootmgr command will I fix the problem

C7 and spoofed MAC address
Got a problem: a user's workstation froze. He wound up rebooting, without
calling me in first, so I dunno. But, and this is a show-stopper, when it
came up, it came up with the firmware MAC, not the spoofed one. In
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcg-eth0, I've got the spoofed MAC
address, and a UUID. In the grub.conf, I've got net.ifnames=0
biosdevname=0. But when I logged onto his

HP Envy EFI problem after BIOS update
Hi Jim,
Thanks for this. I looked into what you said, and once happy I ran the
command you gave. It appeared to work as it did not come up with any errors,
and the output from efibootmgr showed
1) Centos had been added as an option and
2) it was the first in the boot sequence.
However, when I rebooted the laptop went straight into Win8, and after
rebooting back into KDE Live, the option is

New C7 kernel ABI and kmods
All,
This is just a heads-up that the new C7 update kernel breaks ABI
compatibility, at least as far as using the ELrepo nVidia drivers is
concerned. I have posted more details to the ELrepo list; but since
many folks use the Elrepo kmods I thought a heads-up would be appropriate.
If you use the ELrepo nvidia kmod you will either need to hold off on
the kernel update or uninstall the nvidia

Plain requirement: desktop search
Just wondering, what exactly is supported/suggested:
I need a comprehensive desktop search functionality. Not only
searching for file names but also for content and meta data. The
environment is EL6.8 / Gnome2. I have noticed that "beagle" is
not part of the distro anymore. Any suggestions for such requirement?
Thanks!

[PATCH 05/14] drm/bochs: atomic: switch planes to atomic, wire up helpers.
Conversion to atomic modesetting, step three.
Wire up atomic helpers. Switch planes to atomic.
We are late to the party, the transitional helpers are gone,
so this can't be splitted into smaller steps any more.
