Nouveau module X server not starting on a NP900X5N Kaby Lake machine
Hi Ilia, many thanks for answering my mail. Tonight I tried to see what happens if I generate a xorg.conf file and place it in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, as described here: https://askubuntu.com/questions/4662/where-is-the-x-org-config-file-how-do-i-configure-x-there When I do that X starts without the framebuffer error. X starts with a backtrace list in the shell and then stops with the error:

--disable-appliance creates supermin.d files
Why does the toplevel Makefile process appliance/, and creates supermin.d during make install, whith configure --disable-appliance? I have to double check what actually happens, it seems it causes startup failures if the resulting binary packages are started on a host that happens to have supermin installed. Olaf

GM108GLM?
Actually GM108 is not one of the recognized chips. Someone needs to go through and check that its goldens didn't change. Nobody's done that. Office 2007: Access OK. Excel, Word, Powerpoint: NO
HP ProBook 6460b. OpenSuse 11.4 - 64 KDE I installed and configure wine (as XP). It works Then I installed Office 2007 Pro. Strange results: Access and some other tools work fine. Word, Excel and Powerpoint open but stop before I can interact with the message: "MS Excel not installed for the current user. Execute installer program again." I tried to reinstall many times: some result!!

HP Probook 6570b - Unable to locate configuration file
Hi, We currently use pxelinux and tftp-hpa for pxe booting new machines and installing our OS of choice. This has worked great for the past year, and just about every HP laptop we've tried so far has worked flawlessy, until now...? We recently bought a bunch of HP ProBook 6570b laptops but couldn't get them to work with our pxelinux setup. What we see is that the 6570b stops at the

boot issue with latest kernel
Hi all, Has anyone seen this issue before? This afternoon, I tried updating a bare metal CentOS 6 box, and got some odd error messages on the console during booting kernel 2.6.32-754.11.1. (These aren't exact, I forgot to try to get a photo of the console.) sd 0:0:4:0 timed out resetting card 3w-sas timed out resetting card Then the boot would simply hang, with no obvious disk activity on
