librhythmbox-itms-detection-plugin.so
I'm looking at ways to potentially reduce tracking via browser fingerprints. https://panopticlick.eff.org/ When I go to that url in CentOS FireFox - my browser is very distinct. For me I believe this is largely caused by gstreamer. I run a modern gstreamer, not the CentOS packages gstreamer. My modern gstreamer also includes a lot of the patent-encumbered codecs, and on that eff project

Rhythmbox Replacement
Hey Y'all, I though I would resurrect a long dead mail chain. I'm looking for a good replacement for Rhythmbox. I need a pod catcher to catch podcasts and download them to my HD where I can then move them onto my mp3 player that I take to work every day. I don't need a new mp3 player so don't suggest VLC. It is not able to download podcasts. I'm in the process of

libreoffice 5 slow after 7.3 update
Hello all, After the update to 7.3 libreoffice (5.0.6.2-3.el7.x86_64) became unusable slow. For an excel file with 250 rows even a simple scroll takes a few seconds, during that time the Xorg server is 100% working and the GPU utilization is at about 77% (from NVIDIA server settings). I have tried disabling the hardware acceleration (options->view) and OpenCL (options) but the problem and

Compiz bugs?
Hi, I've been following the list for a few months but this just my first post to the list. I've just started to use compiz again a few days ago and I have a few things (probably bugs) here that bugged me a little bit. I am not sure whether the bugs is in compiz or somewhere else so it would be nice if someone could confirm them. Here they are: - on default window decoration the maximize

Safe to use gstreamer repository for RH or Fedora?
I'd like to install "Gstreamer" so that I can get MP3 support in Rhythmbox. At least, I'm led to believe MP3 support comes with installing Gstreamer from Rhythmbox's FAQ. But when I get to the Gstreamer download page: http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/download/ ... it says: "Do not compile from source yourself unless you are certain you have to or want to" Okay,

CentOS 5 sound problems on ICH5
Hi I have installed CentOS 5 on my computer which has an Intel ICH5 sound chip. The card appears as it should, and I can adjust the volume just fine. However, when I try to play a sound file(.ogg for instance), rhythmbox plays through the file, but no sound is heard. I've tried as root, and I've tried doing cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp, and it's all quiet. Output from lspci:

Change bitrate
Hello, good morning ! Running Icecast2 and Ices2 with live audio from Line IN, what is the correct way to change the bitrate ?. In the Icecast2 configuration file I set: <mount type="normal"> ????<mount-name>/entzun.opus</mount-name> ????<bitrate>128</bitrate> </mount> But it seems that is not enough since the bitrate does not change. groupmap on member server
Greetings, My setup is a multimaster win2k domain with full trusts established. My samba server has joined one of the master domains as a member server. smb.conf has encrypted passwords enabled and security=domain and running on Samba Version 3.0.1pre1 on Linux 2.4.20-20.9smp. Groupmap seems not to work as I was expecting it to. I am trying to map the local unix group
