I can confirm that c6 is vulnerable, we're running a patched kernel
(local build) using a rhel6 adaptation of the upstream fix.

Quota usage value shows 140% of actual disk usage
Hello everyone,
Our server has these installed:
dovecot-2.0.21-2.el6.x86_64
dovecot-pigeonhole-2.0.21-2.el6.x86_64
dovecot-mysql-2.0.21-2.el6.x86_64
...and has been running for quite a long time, with several hundred domains
and thousands of accounts on it. My colleagues reported that it's been
showing quota usage values that are more than actual disk usage, so I
investigated and found that

macintosh disconnect problem
Hi all,
We're having trouble with Macintosh clients (at least) being
disconnected from Samba. Below is one macintosh console output when
this happens, filtered by "smb". (Yeah, maybe some clues are missing...)
ATM I don't see anything that stands out in the Samba log file.
However one thing I don't see in the samba log file is session disconnects.
Does anyone

CVE-2016-5195 DirtyCOW : Critical Linux Kernel Flaw
My manager just told me that upstream has released a patched kernel for 7:
CentOS package kernel-3.10.0-327.36.3.el7.x86_64.rpm
see http://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2016-2098.html
I'm hoping Johnny can get us that, hopefully before the end of the week.

World Basketball Manager. Any possible way to run?
I'm in struggle to let the game run. The best result i've got is "run-time error 76" which led me to nothing.
Tried various ways to run the game. winetricks, playonlinux. No result.
I'm using Ubuntu x64. Wine - 1.36. Nvidia 8600.
Install dependencies:
Windows Installer 3.1 -> OK
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1
Microsoft Jet 4.0 Database

Libguestfs debugging issue
Hi. I am currently debugging an issue with libguestfs in Centos 7.2 (Kernel
3.10.0-327.36.3.el7.x86_64).
libguestfs is being called by SaltStack to access a qcow2 image, but it is
failing. I have narrowed the issue down to the command below:
guestmount -i -a /opt/vm-spinning/salt-mnt/salt-images/pb123/system.qcow2
--rw /tmp/guest/opt.vm-spinning.salt-mnt.salt-images.pb123.system.qcow2

kernel memory accounting
Hi CentOS experts,
I am using CentOS 7. Trying to disable kernel memory accounting:
according to https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/cgroup-v1/memory.txt,
passing cgroup.memory=nokmem to the kernel at boot time, should be able to
archive that.
However it is not the case in my exercise. These are what I have now
$ grep CONFIG_MEMCG_KMEM /boot/config-3.10.0-327.36.3.el7.x86_64

kernel memory accounting
First - why in the world would you want to disable kernel memory
accounting? I don't think that is even possible (despite not being a
kernel programmer myself) because the kernel must needs account for
every bit of real and virtual memory in the system in order to do its job.
Second - the first note in the doc to which you refer says that it is
hopelessly out of date and further down it

I'm trying to use accountcodes, but experiencing inconsistant
results. I have two * servers, one which appears to be working as
expected and one not. I would like to prepend the device's accountcode
to the dialed number. The sip1 server does not seem to have the
${ACCOUNTCODE} variable set when reading the extensions.conf, but sip2
server does.

varimp in party (or randomForest)
Hi,
There is an excellent article at http://www.biomedcentral.com/1471-2105/9/307 by Stroble, et al. describing variable importance in random forests. Does anyone have any suggestions (besides imputation or removal of cases) for how to deal with data that *have* missing data for predictor variables?
Below is an excerpt of some code referenced in the article. I have commented out one line and
