Strange Postfix problem
Hello, Was trying to setup postfix on my home PC. Running Centos 6.4. I don't have a static IP and use zoneedit and ddclient to keep my installation of zoneminder current. So I decided I wanted to get zoneminder to send me email alerts. Sent some test messages but none were sent. I went to webdnstools website thinking maybe there is a dns or network problem. When it checks my dns setup,

ipset-service save fails when module compiled into kernel
I want to use the ipset-service to store ipsets persistently across boots. (For use by iptables rules. firewalld has direct support for persistent ipsets but I need the more general capability of raw iptables.) I'm using a kernel with ipsets compiled in, rather than loaded as a module. The support script that saves ipsets checks if the module is loaded before saving and finds nothing, so

shorewall 4.4.10 failing to start; won't recognize ipset "capability"
I have been using shorewall for years with ipsets. I have encountered a problem after upgrading from 4.2.11 to 4.4.10. When I run ''shorewall-check'' or ''shorewall start'', it halts with the error: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- ERROR: ipset names in Shorewall configuration files require Ipset Match in your kernel and

I haven''t debugged this enough to understand what is happening, but I observe the following: someipset = bitmap:ip,mac 1) br0:+someipset 2) br0:+someipset[2] The first 1) doesn''t match anything in rules or tcrules, the second 2) matches fine. (Also using +someipset[1] doesn''t match anything) Is it possible/sensible/feasible to have shorewall figure out the

firewalld: whitelisting/blacklisting addresses allowed to connect to a service/port with ipset
I'm trying to figure out how to use firewalld on CentOS 7 to block access to ssh (on a custom port to control log bloat) and smtp submission except for specific source addresses, using ipset. I haven't been able to figure out how to combine a port number or service name with an ipset, either as a blacklist of nets or a whitelist of addresses. It looks like ipset with type of

Question about 7.3
I haven't done a fresh install in years. I've always gone the upgrade route. Seemed to have always worked for me. I moved to 7.3 since it supports the latest versions of some programs I want to use to implement as a backup server/RAID/NAS for 3 machines here at home and a remote laptop at work. So, the question is, is there something different in 7.3 than the previous 7 versions? The

DB for blacklisting thought
Hello all, I''m new to the list. But have been using Shorewall on and off for over a year now. The one thing that got me hooked on staying with Shorewall, was the extensive and useful documentation. Great Job! I see also that over use of blacklisting is time consuming for restarts, refresh and it also means the kernel spends more time checking incoming packets. The following is from:

Perl module installed via CPAN but its is not found
Hello, I am trying to rebuild a zoneminder rpm. It calls for the module perl(Sys::Mmap). I installed via CPAN but when I run rpmbuild --rebuild zoneminder-xxxxxx, it tells me the above module is needed. Seems I ran into this once before and fixed it, but I can't remember what I did. I have searched for two days now and can't find anything of help. TIA Eddie PS If I can get this
