CentOS7 kickstart failed ( no such option: --bytes-per-inode)
Dear All, I'm trying to create a kickstart installer. I specified an option --byes-per-inode to 'logvol' command, but I got a message "No such option: --bytes-per-inode" during installation. Does anybody know a solution? The following is the lines for disk partitioning definition specified in my kickstart file. ------------------------- ## ## Disk partitioning information

Centos7 - Mate - Zombie printer icon remains after printing
Hello All, I have the problem described in this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1116756 It is also descibed in some detail here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1264811 After printing, the print icon stays in the system tray until I logout. The bugzilla says there is a fix for Fedora21. Does anybody know how to get this fixed for C7? Thanks very much.

redistribution of isolinux binaries
I've been making my own custom RHEL / CentOS boot CDs for years, and all of the instructions for such work call out to take a distro's CD, and copy key files from it. Among those files are those that I think are associated with the the SYSLINUX/ISOLINUX project; e.g.: http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/os/x86_64/images/ http://mirror.centos.org/centos/6/os/x86_64/isolinux/ Two

Using centos and kickstart to build a minimum installation
Using centos 5.2, I want to use a kickstart file to select packages in order to have an unattended install onto a bare-metal server. Is there any way of finding out which packages I need to compile, build and run asterisk ? I generally want to build all modules in asterisk and the wct4xxp zaptel module I want to be able to not select any groups in the kickstart file, but only select

Xen kickstart and virt-manager
Hi again. I'm pleased to say that my experimentation with ocfs2 has been very successful and I'm considering doing some real work with it. My current question is related to virt-manager and the use of kickstart to install paravirtualised domU's. I'm happily doing fully-virtualised installs with this tool but due to poor network performance I thought it time to do some

CentOS7 kickstart question
Is it not possible to use an nfs based repo for kickstart under CentOS 7.5? E.g. repo --name=epel --baseurl=file://server/path/to/local/copy/of/epel With trial and error I figured out that this is the correct syntax to use for an nfs-based repo. But packages from this repo in the %packages section are not found. You have specificed that the package 'bla' should be installed. This

problems with kickstart %post and python/snack gui
Hi All, I'm trying to migrate from Fedora Core 4 to a more stable linux deployment of Centos 4.3. I'm using kickstart to do an automated installation of minimal packages and then doing configuration in the %post section. I do this by calling serveral custom system-config-local-* scripts that I have written along with system-config-network-tui (aka netconfig). The problem that I am
