CentOS 6 + nux-dextop: GIMP vs. GIMP 2.8 ?
Hi,
I just setup a CentOS 6 desktop with the nux-dextop repository activated.
When installing GIMP (yum install gimp), I get a gimp package as well as
a gimp28 package. I understand this is the Nux-Dextop GIMP 2.8 package.
Unfortunately this doesn't work so well with my system. It's not
localized (menus appear in english, though the system is in French), the

IAX2 client for "eee pc 1000"
What kind of IAX2 client will install/run on EEE PC 1000 (stock Linux software)?
I'll eventually replace this crippled Linux with something better but I don't time to play around with it as most divers and modules are still too new and
not fully available in all distros.

problem with Rmpi 0.5-5 and openmpi
Dear knowledgeable experts :-),
I am trying to get openmpi, Rmpi and SNOW running on a Myrinet/GM
cluster. I'm not an IT expert, but I surely could use a working
installation of Rmpi and SNOW.
I try to load the Rmpi library and get the following:

100 % positive.
I tried it on a different sandbox server without X installed, but only with
xorg-x11-xauth.

wine client error:0: version mismatch 432/431
Can someone tell me why, despite using a completely clean tree, I keep getting this on a Wine64 build?
Code:
wine client error:0: version mismatch 432/431.
Your wine binary was not upgraded correctly,
or you have an older one somewhere in your PATH.
Or maybe the wrong wineserver is still running?
It's getting on my bloody nerves!
TIA

Wine and Gnome menus...
Hi all,
I've spent several days tinkering with Wine and have uncovered what seems to be a mess: Menus in Gnome for Wine applications...
I'm running Debian 4.0 (Etch) with a few backports, and Gnome 2.14.3.
I've progressed from the version of Wine that's in the Etch repositories, 0.9.25-2.1, through the one in backports, 1.0-rc1-1, to the current 1.1.1 from the WineHQ

How do I create a new menu category in GNOME ?
Hi,
The title says it all. My GNOME desktop is in French, so here's what my
standard Applications (same word in french) menu looks like :
Applications > Accessoires (Utilities)
> Bureautique (Office)
> Graphisme (Graphics)
> Internet (Internet)
> Son et vid?o (Sound and Video)

Password protecting menu entries using simple menu
Gents,
I've come across an issue using 4.0.5 -- not sure what I'm doing wrong
here, but I've tried a hundred different ways to password protect an entry
in one of my pxe menus, but every time I invoke the entry in the menu, it
prompts for the password (I've tried using MENU PASSWD xxxx and tried it
without, supplying a MASTER PASSWD and a blank MENU PASSWD after both a

Weird bug in 389 Directory Server : no spaces in admin console (CentOS 7)
Hi,
I'm currently setting up 389 Directory Server on a server running CentOS 7, and
I have a weird and somehow showstopping bug.
All the spaces are suddenly missing in the admin console. Here's a screenshot
so you can get the idea :

Lost my menu options again - KDE messes with Gnome?
This was a problem I had a while back. I lost the "Preferences" menu
item in my "Applications" menu in Gnome. After much discussion, the
following commands got my "Preferences" menu item back, along with all
the applications inside of it:
rpm -e redhat-artwork redhat-menus --nodeps --allmatches
yum install redhat-artwork redhat-menus
But...

menu.c32 - Return from sub-menu
I am new to SYSLINUX/PXELINUX and it is great! Thanks!
Looking around the archives for uses/examples for the simple menu
(menu.c32) for our implementation (DOS boot with networking support for
various NICs), and it occurred to me that I might want to go back to the
main menu if I ended up in the wrong sub-menu. Also would be useful if
one needed to create multiple levels of menus and wanted to
