Bridging wifi with Centos6/kvm
1.. Is it even possible? Every example I've seen has bridged eth* rather wlan*.

workstation: ignore wlan re-/disconnects?
Hello,
I'd like to add rules (level workstation) for ignoring wlan
reconnects/disconnects.
The rules would ignore messages like this:

[Bridge] Interface or Linux crashes when put in bridge mode
Hi all, let me see if I can explain my problem in an explicable way. I have written a WLAN driver which runs on a dedicated box (e.g. not a PCMCIA card). The box is plugged into a client that wants WLAN connectivity via Ethernet. E.g.:

Broadcom Wifi Problem
I have a Broadcom 802.11b/g hardware on my dual-boot laptop.
Note first that in the WinXP partition, the wifi makes DHCP
connections to my router with no problem. Since this
was not working in my new CentOS 6 partition, and
remembering that there was a driver problem with the
old Fedora partition it replaced, I followed instructions

Recommended WLAN-Adapter for CentOS 5
I intend to realize the connection to the Internet by WLAN (at the presen time
DSL cable modem).
The WLAN DSL-Router should not be the problem. But which wlan-
adapter (internally (PCI), USB... whatever) can be recommended for a
work "out of is the box" with cent OS 5?
Thx

Unable to Access Inet via HostAP
Hello,
Thanx in advance to anyone who can help me get this going. I have
tinkered around and around with this and I have it functioning as a
visible access point that I can connect to. My problem comes in when
trying to access the internet. I''m not an iptables guru or anything but
I got the following as my iptables startup to supposedly masq the
connection correctly:

UTStarcom F1000 - WLAN connection unreliable
Hi list,
I bought two UTStarcom F1000 phones, pre-equipped with the latest
firmware, including WPA support. Those are configured to register to an
asterisk server on the internet (not LAN), and registration works.
Calling and being called also, with transfer and all bells and whistles.
After a few minutes up to 5 hours (varies widely), the display tells me
that an Accesspoint is not available

3.2 kernel with C5? Or ndiswrapper?
I know, I know... don't use the non-standard kernels unless you have to...
BUT: I have a D-Link N150 USB card.
Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0846:9030 NetGear, Inc. WNA1100 Wireless-N 150 [Atheros AR9271]
This isn't supported in C5, but it is supported in newer kernels (ath9k_htc).
So let's try NDISwrapper:
# rpm -i kmod\-ndiswrapper\-1.56\-1.el5.elrepo.i686.rpm

Perplexing problem blocking PING, plus comments wanted on 4 interface firewall
Gents,
I have build a four interface firewall using Redhat V7.3 using a kernel
supplied from the PoPTop website. Obviously I have poptop installed, and it
seems to be working just fine. Anyway, I also have Shorewall installed, and
it seems to be working just dandy except for one small problem. A little
infor first. The interfaces/zones are ...

wlan and macvtap?
Greetings,
This is my fist time posting to a mailing list.
For the past few days I have been trying to mimic my former windows
workstation with a centos 6.3 workstation at work.
I have gotten really far but am now facing an issue I cant seem to
solve on my own.
My former workstation had vmware for running my virtual machines.
Most of the time I would run just two virtual machines, but sometimes

PDC/wins on multiple networks
Hi to everyone on the mailing list.
I have two networks at home, apart from the internet. One is the wired
network, LAN, and the other is the wireless network, WLAN. They need to
be separated, not bridged, because of hardware issues.
I am trying to setup inter-networking browsing on these networks, pc's on LAN should see and browse pc's on WLAN and viceversa.
After reading the manual

[Bridge] Destination Host Unreachable
Hopefully this is a simple answer. I am new to setting up bridges on a
linux system. Here is what I have set up:
Laptop directly connected to the eth0 port on the bridge (A Soekris 4521
board). The otherside of the bridge is a wirelass lan card (SMC2532b-w)
as wlan0. The wlan0 is setup in managed mode to communicate to my test
ap2000.
When I do a 'brctl showmacs br0' on the
