Firefox fails to authenticate .mil sites with New DoD CAC
Can anyone help with getting the new DoD CACs (Smart Card) to work in CentOS 6.6? I don't use it for console logins, only for email and .mil web sites. I recently had to get a new DoD CAC (Smart Card) when one of the buildings I work in upgraded their security system. My old CAC was working fine prior to this for signing and encrypting email and for authenticating to various DoD (.mil) sites

Smart cards, mostly solved
So, it *seems* to be working, pretty much. I needed to install opensc, openct pcsc-lite, pcsc-lite-openct, and ctapi-common will be installed as a dependency. I *removed* coolkey and esc, which depended on it. 100% of the time, they misidentifed the new/current US federal ID PIV-II cards as coolkey cards, and popped up this "phone home" window, then a "manage smartcards"

Firefox fails to authenticate .mil sites with New DoD CAC
I thought DoD used RHEL and not Centos, or did Centos did approved DADEMS recently? Todd Denniston - a second "thanks, again"
Almost there on getting the current US fed PIV cards working properly (and *not* pulling up the idiot coolkey stuff), and I was just looking for where ssh-agent is started automagically when you log in... and I found the thread I started early last April... and that inlcuded you, Todd, mentioning where it's started (/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc-common), so, a second tip o' th' hat to you.

CentOS 6, firefox, PIV cards
Hi, folks, Up until a few weeks ago, it worked as it has been for years: firefox, security device is libcoolkey, and pcscd. Today, I go to use it (I have done updates sine I last used it), and try preferences->advanced->certificates, and it hangs. My most recent try was for over 20 min. If you move something over the window, then move it away, it's a blank window. Pull out the

URGENT: Skip installation ix86 packages from kickstart on 64bit arch?
Hi, Has any one know how to skip ix86 packages from installation in Centos kickstart? Most of our machines have 64bit Intel/AMD CPUs, and it make non-sense to still keep 32bit compatibility. Even worse of i*86 packages is, when upgrade we have to recompile both ix86 version and x86_64 version to get an automatic yum upgrade. I know we could use 'exclude' option to exclude i*86 packages

OpenSSH-2.2.0 problem with ssh.com ssh-agent2
The OpenSSH and ssh.com agents use a completely different set of messages for dealing with DSA keys, so I don't expect the OpenSSH client to be able to get DSA keys from ssh-agent2. However, if I'm running "ssh-agent2 -1", I expect OpenSSH to be able to use RSA keys stored in ssh-agent2's agent1 compatibility box. And it does. However, there's a problem. If I'm

draft-miller-ssh-agent-02: extensions and success messages
Hi, I've been reading the RFC draft for the OpenSSH agent protocol and trying to understand the extension mechanism. It seems like a client, after sending an extension message, will have to then interpret any following success (0x6) message differently according to the extension request just sent. The example with the "query" extension returning a success message with extra data

coolkey
anyone familiar with coolkey, an interface for smartcards? apparently its built into centos5, but I don't seem to see it for centos4, and i need to support both (actually, we have a lot more c4 systems in production than 5)... does anyone know offhand where to find el4 RPMs for this and its related packages (pcsc-lite, etc) ?

Issues with AD trusts and UID/GID ranges
Hello All, I'm having issues joining some Ubuntu servers to an Active Directory domain with trusts. All my machines are running samba and winbind. I have a two domains, we'll call them CORPORATE and CUSTOMER. CUSTOMER has a one way trust with CORPORATE, such that any resources CUSTOMER can access, CORPORATE can as well, but not vice-versa. On all of my CORPORATE machines, users are

libguestfs error: need help troubleshooting
Hi, I'm trying to manually create a rhel7 image using the qemu-img and virt-install commands. I'm re-testing a procedure I previously wrote with the new grub commands that a customer suggested we add in. This procedure is available at: http://file.bne.redhat.com/dnavale/docs/review/RH-guides/AG-020715/#sect-create-images As in the procedure, I'm able to run all steps successfully
