Has anyone used a Dell with a PERC H310?
Hello Sa?o! I found you here: http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/zfs-discuss/2012-May/051546.html "How about reflashing LSI firmware to the card? I read on Dell''s spec sheets that the card runs an LSISAS2008 chip, so chances are that standard LSI firmware will work on it. I can send you all the required bits to do the reflash, if you like." I got Dell Perc H310 controller

CentOS 6 and an SAS drive, hardware
This is... odd. Got a 6.8 box, a Dell R320 lspci tells me 01:00.0 RAID bus controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 2008 [Falcon] (rev 03) so it *should* accept an SAS drive. I've got a Cheetah that's a few years old, and having pulled it out of another server (in the datecenter), I put it in this box to zero it out for reuse... and the box refuses to see the drive. *Nothing* in

megaraid problem
Hi, I'm trying to install Centos 4.3 x86 on a PE 1400SC but the install doesn't find any HD's. So then I get the option to load a module, so I choose for the megaraid_mbox module for the LSI LOGIC 4CH PERC but my RAID5 still doesn't get recognised. Had the same problem 2 years ago with FC3 wich was due to the megaraid module wich got obsolete in the 2.6 kernel but somebody filed

megaraid/PERC
I've got two drives from a now-dead server, they were RAIDed, a mirror, I'd assume. I need to see if there's anything on them I need to transfer to the replacement, so I just shoved them into another Dell server, with a PERC 5 controller - I think that's what the dead one had. I fired up MegaRAID storage manager... but can't see any way to tell it to recreate that RAID. Anyone

LSI MegaRAID system status
Dear list, I have inherited a CentOS-5 box with a LSI Sata Raid controller. It is configured as a RAID5 w/hot-standby. My concern is that I have no present means of determining the RAID status w/o downing the system and going into the bios to get status. If a disk has failed and brought the standby disk online, I would like to know about it, the day it happens by seeing it in syslog or getting

MegaRAID SAS 9280-24i4e -- Centos support.
Dear centos community, I was in the process of installing centos in a machine however during the install the OS is unable to see the controller "MegaRAID SAS 9280-24i4e", i noticed that LSI has some drivers for centos. Can someone guide me on how to load the drivers so the OS can see the controller as it loads. Thank you in advance. Lisandro -------------- next part -------------- An

[OSSTest PATCH 0/2] MegaRAID SAS support and RebootTimeExtra documentation
Hi Ian-s, Two small patches for OSSTest. The first one turns on compiling the Linux modules for MegaRAID SAS, needed for the ultralisk machine in the Cambridge lab. The second adds an entry in the README file about the RebootTimeExtra host property, which I also needed to use for ulttralisk, as scrubbing 368GB of RAM really takes a lot! git://xenbits.xen.org/people/dariof/osstest.git misc Let

Megaraid SAS driver failing in Xen-3.3.0 but was working in Xen-3.2.2-rc3
On Xen-3.3.0, domain0 Megaraid SAS (SAS 1068 controller) driver is not loading correctly if vtd support in Xen is enabled. It fails at the point of initializing firmware. I wasn''t seeing this error with Xen-3.2.2-rc3 (Unstable version), though with vtd disabled in Xen-3.3.0, it is working. Looks like a degrade problem. Any clues? Thx, Venkat

Timo, Its interesting, I am presently attending a conference in NYC and in one of the tables I saw the redhat vendor. My first question to them was " What do you think about centos", they reply "You are using a distribution without support and that is prompt to failure..." I don't think this is an accurate statement is it? Anyway to make the story short, they keep telling

CentOS4 and older megaraid
Release notes say no support for the RAID card in a box I just picked up...is there no hope for this box running 2.6 kernel? http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/enterprise/RHEL-4-Manual/release- notes/as-x86/ The kernel shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 includes the new megaraid_mbox driver from LSI Logic, which replaces the megaraid driver. The megaraid_mbox driver has an improved design,
