oVirt setup issues
Hi all,
as suggested in a prior mail, I was now trying out oVirt - however, on
a non-Redhat/Debian system -
and ran into huge issues primary due to the lag of information / documenation.
So here my assumptions:
* oVirt is a web application based on JBoss application server.
* VDSM is an agent to run on every hypervisor (or also VM?)
* nothing else needed? (despite jboss, java-jdk-1.6,

Re: [ovirt-users] Bug in Snapshot Removing
Hello Soeren.
I've started to look at this issue and I'd agree that at first glance
it looks like a libvirt issue. The 'cannot acquire state change lock'
messages suggest a locking bug or severe contention at least. To help
me better understand the problem I have a few questions about your
setup.

Ovirt Hosted-Engine VM iptables
Hi
I would like to add rules into the iptables of the Hosted Engine VM in
Ovirt.
the version is oVirt Engine Version: 4.1.1.8-1.el7.centos
I have tried using the normal process for iptables (iptables-save etc),
but it seems that the file
/etc/sysconfig/iptables
this is ignored in the Ovirt Engine VM.
How can I add permanent rules into the Engine VM?
Kind regards
Andrew

CentOS ovirt-3.1 repository
Dear sirs,
We are operating an Ovirt-3.1(2) based virtual server system with approx 10
CentOS6+vdsm nodes.
Engine and node server's were build using RPMs installed through the
here-below Yum repository, according to the
HowTo on the CentOS site (http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/oVirt)
http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/ovirt/ovirt.repo
While I have another node server to add, I kew that this

[PATCH 1/2] Revert "v2v: oVirt changed the ResourceType for QXL video devices (RHBZ#1598715)."
The change is not correct in case the OVF is used in -o vdsm mode, for
example. Let's revert it, and then implement it properly.
This reverts commit 296b2f66c71df0bf5ee2ee605fe4b92672796ab3.
