Clustering and ha planning
Hello , Centos users:
My name is Leandro, I have been using Centos for 4 years and this is the
first post in this mail list.
I would like to study and introduce myself in clustering and high
availability for Centos, currently I have not experience at all about it.
I would like to ask about the newest method to achieve high availability
, load balancing on linux / Centos.
So far I have seen the

HA tools from clusterlabs.org
hi everybody,
would you know if 8 version is going to have HA solutions from
clusterlabs.org available, just like Centos7 has? (from Centos' own
repos/streams)
many thanks, L.

CentOS 6: corosync and pacemaker won't stop (patch)
Hi,
I cannot 'halt' my CentOS 6 servers while running corosync+pacemaker.
I believe the runlevels used to stop corosync and pacemaker are not in the
correct order and create the infinite "Waiting for corosync services to
unload..." loop thing.
This is my first time with this cluster technology but apparently pacemaker
has to be stopped /before/ corosync.

Problem with CLVM (really openais)
I'm desparately looking for more ideas on how to debug what's going on
with our CLVM cluster.
Background:
4 node "cluster"-- machines are Dell blades with Dell M6220/M6348 switches.
Sole purpose of Cluster Suite tools is to use CLVM against an iSCSI storage
array.
Machines are running CentOS 5.8 with the Xen kernels. These blades host
various VMs for a project. The iSCSI

Corosync on a home network
I've been trying to build a model cluster using three virtual machines
on my home server. Each VM boots off its own dedicated partition
(CentOS 7.3). One partition is designated to be the common /home
partition for the VMs, (on the real machine it will mount as /cluster).
I'm intending to run GFS2 on the shared partition, so I need to
configure DLM and corosync. That's where I'm

Pacemaker bugs?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi!
I think I stumbled on at least two bugs in the CentOS 7.2 pacemaker package,
though I'm not quite sure if or where to report it.
I'm using the following package to set up a 2-node active/passive cluster:
[root at clnode1 ~]# rpm -q pacemaker
pacemaker-1.1.13-10.el7_2.4.x86_64
The installation is up-to-date on both nodes as of the

Corosync init-script broken on CentOS6
Hello all,
I am trying to create a corosync/pacemaker cluster using CentOS 6.0.
However, I'm having a great deal of difficulty doing so.
Corosync has a valid configuration file and an authkey has been generated.
When I run /etc/init.d/corosync I see that only corosync is started.

samba-tool SIGSEGV
Hi,
Not sure if I should post in samba-technical or just samba list. Please advise.
Back in February I was trying to do a samba-tool classicupgrade but kept getting SIGSEGV:
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2017-February/206409.html
I didn't progress much after that.
This week I've compiled samba-4.6.5 and installed that. Following the HOW-TO for classic upgrade

two 2-node clusters or one 4-node cluster?
Hello,
I'm planning migration of current two clusters based on CentOS 6.x with
Cman/Rgmanager going to CentOS 7.x and Corosync/Pacemaker.
As the clusters and their services are on the same subnet, and there no
particular security concerns differentiating them, I'm also evaluating the
option to transform the two clusters into a unique 4-node one during the
upgrade.
Currently I'm

Patch to Pacemaker hooks in ocfs2_controld
Hi Guys,
I overhauled and simplified the Pacemaker hooks recently. This patch:
- Reuses more code from the Pacemaker libraries
- Escalates fencing to the cluster manager instead of initiating it
directly
Attached patch is against master, or you can pull the original patch
which is against an older version used by SUSE:

Fencing question(s)
I've got a Centos 5.8 box that I use for testing Xen VMs. I'm trying to
setup some Centos 6.2 hosts in a high availability situation. I've tried
the pacemaker route and couldn't get the connection established, so
thought I'd try the RH-preferred methods. Mind you, all of these VMs are
on the same host.
Using Conga, it seems that I need some sort of fencing device, which

CentOS 7 magically rebooted!
CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 (Core)
Hi,
Last night our CentOS 7 server rebooted. Seemingly it's a very clean reboot. I can't find a shred of
evidence as to why it happened though.
Things I've checked:
* sa reports
* /var/log/{messages,secure,dmesg,cron}
* /var/log/audit/audit.log
* lastlog
The host is used for KVM virtualisation and connects via multipathing to our OmniOS SAN via

be right, you are
