Tripp-Lite USB constantlly disconnecting.
Hey, was wondering if I could get a quick sanity check. We have a SmartUPS
1500 RM2U which we have connected to a box via USB. It seems like every
40-45 seconds it becomes disconnected and reconnected. Though this only
happens when we have NUT enabled, otherwise it's fine. When it is
disconnecting and reconnecting running lsusb doesn't show it disconnecting.
After having it sit like that

Attach a GPS in preboot mode
Hello everyone and best wishes for 2023 :)
I have an old *Garmin Drive Smart 50 GPS* and I want to be able to
attach it when it is in preboot mode to a VM hosted by a *Debian 11 host*.
From what I understand, the preboot mode allows us to flash a firmware
before the GPS actually starts (used among other things when the GPS is
soft bricked).
When I connect the GPS to the host it gives:

Charles,
> What is the new behavior?
The CentOS minimal install had different print statements and a broadcast
message whenever the UPS was disconnected. The broadcast isn't really
important. Below are the differences I pasted though I'm not sure if they
are important, I just noticed they were different. Particularly the bolded
parts which I think you alluded to in your email about

Getting two notifications of nocomm-timer expired when USB cable is pulled from the UPS
NUT 2.8.01
When I pull the USB cable from the UPS, I get two notifications of the nocomm-timer expired. The first notification is in the proper sequence, the second notification occurs after 'commok' occurs. Seems somehow that upssched-cmd is getting a second nocomm-timer expired delayed.

Centos 7 - Canon Powershot A410
I have an old Canon Powershot A410 camera that used to just work with
Centos 6. All I had to do was install Shotwell and forever after I
could just plug that camera in and Shotwell would automatically load and
all was well.
I'm now trying to get that camera to work on Centos 7, but am having no
success.

Tripp-Lite USB constantlly disconnecting.
Some of my messages never went through since I hit a message size
limit. I'm resending them in the hopes they are under the limit.
Charles,
The lsusb command did not trigger a disconnect. The output of that
command is below. I ran "usbhid-ups -a upsunit -DDD &> output.log" and
I have attached the /var/log/messages and output.log to this email.

PMTU = 1518 over local network at 1500 MTU
Hi all,
I have two nodes, connected to a switch, using Tinc 1.1 from git.
They connect each other with sptps, and to other nodes in the Internet
with old protocol because they have Tinc 1.0.
There is no problem with remote nodes, but between my 2 local nodes,
they see 1518 PMTU. But local network is 1500 MTU !!! So nodes can ping
each other but larger data does not go.

NOTIFYCMD not running
Hi, I'm setting up NUT on a raspberry pi 4, following the guide here:
https://melgrubb.com/2016/12/11/rphs-v2-ups/
OS version: Raspian Buster
NUT version: 2.7.4.8
Installed via: apt package install
Device: Legrand Keor Multiplug connected via USB
The problem I am experiencing is that *NOTIFYCMD* never runs. I can
connect to the device via *upsc*, and I receive WALL messages when I

Thanks for the response, can you link to it? I'm not finding it in the
search. I'm not using /sbin/upssched, I have NOTIFYCMD set up as:
NOTIFYCMD /home/pi/Documents/scripts/ups-log.py
and it's not commented out.

Tripp-Lite USB constantlly disconnecting.
I am experiencing the same kind of disconnects, stale data on Eaton brand
UPS (Nova AVR). It keeps doing it probably due to Windows to detect it as
a new hardware, until Eaton software is installed. With Eaton Linux IPP
http://pqsoftware.eaton.com/explore/eng/ipp/default.htm?lang=en
this does not happen. Think what? It disables it somehow. But as soon as

Problem booting hypervisor on Lenovo T400 Core2 Duo P8600
Hi,
I have a problem booting the Xen hypervisor on my brand new Lenovo
Thinkpad T400 2765D2G (Core2 Duo P8600 CPU, 2.40GHz. 4GB RAM). I''m
running Debian 5.0 (Lenny) and I use the Debian-provided
xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-amd64 package. The Dom0 kernel seems to be the Xen
patches ported to a 2.6.26 kernel: linux-image-2.6.26-1-xen-amd64
I can boot the hypervisor only very unrealiably: Out of
