C7 Plus Kernel
A new kernel for Centos 7.4.1708 was released several days ago, version 3.10.0-693.17.1. Will there be a matching CentOS Plus kernel? Thanks for all the effort in providing that. Also, is there an announce list for Plus updates? -- I yam Popeye of the Borg. Prepares ta beez askimiligrated. Albert McCann albert.mccann at outlook.com

It would seem kmod-hfsplus does not have a module for my kernel uname -r 3.10.0-327.28.2.el7.x86_64 yum provides "*/hfsplus.ko" Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, langpacks Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * base: mirror.tzulo.com * elrepo: repos.ord.lax-noc.com * extras: mirrors.usinternet.com * updates: mirror.nexcess.net kmod-hfsplus-0.0-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 : hfsplus

centos8 / anaconda EFI regression / HFS+ ESP
Hi folks, years ago I had no problem installing CentOS7 on my iMac workstation (iMac Late 2015). The installation worked out of the box. Today I wanted to upgrade to CentOS8 and while configuring the partitions I get an error that the installation can not start because: "HFS+ ESP needed and mounted on /boot/efi". In fact they are the same partition as for CentOS7. Is this a regression

Mounting a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) Hard Drive
Hi, I need to migrate about 8Tb of data from a Mac Fibre Channel RAID to by LVM Ext3 Linux Fibre Channel RAID. For speed I planned to connect both RAID's to my CentOS Server and copy the data directly. The Mac volume is formatted as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) it seems that CentOS 5.4 supports reading HFS volumes but not HFSPlus volumes. Is there a way of getting this volume to mount so I

Hyper-V v2v
Hi list, What is the best method to migrate Hyper-V 2012 VM to oVirt/RHEV ? I made a v2v livecd, but it never load consoles and never launch p2v service (works well with BIOS VM or hardware, but G2 HyperV VM needs EFI to boot). I must add some packages on my system to build an EL7 (kmod-hfsplus from elrepo) and some other to boot on EFI : #boot EFI grub2 grub2-efi grub2-efi-modules

How to recognize an MBR suitable for isohybrid --mac ?
Hi, i have implemented in xorriso the equivalents of isohybrid.c options --mac and --uefi. There remains the question how to ensure that the submitted MBR is prepared for the 32 byte mock-up of an APM Block0. I see in git of may 2012 that all mbr/isohdp[fp]x*.bin begin by 33 ed 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90 90
