CentOS 6.5 VirtualBox
Hi Is anyone here using VirtualBox? I've had it working rather well for some time, but after some recent upgrade or the other it's started exiting with a Segmentation fault just after startup, before windows are opened or anything. I've tried a few different versions, all with the same result. I'm using binary packages http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/rpm/el. So,

Build VirtualBox OSE for CentOS?
Is there any need for CentOS to build and distribute the OSE version of VirtualBox? The differences between the versions are here: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Editions The reason I ask is that the Full version is free for personal use and the restrictions (especially no USB or RDP) make the OSE version fairly crippled, so I am not sure there is enough benefit to design and keep updated

virsh + remote VirtualBox
Hello, I have the following setup: 1. MacOS host with VirtualBox installed 2. Ubuntu 16.04 host with libvirt installed What I try to do: Manage VMs executed inside VirtualBox on host 1 with libvirt tools from host 2. I have vboxwebsrv up and running on my MacOS host. I can successfully manage VMs remotely (e.g. with phpvirtualbox). But libvirt (virsh in particular) doesn't work. Reading

libvirt, OSX and VirtualBox - how?
I have a new OSX Lion Macbook and would like to control VirtualBox using "virsh" (as I do with KVM under Ubuntu). I've got this far: * Installed VirtualBox * Installed libvirt (brew install libvirt) But now I'm a bit stuck :-) I ran VirtualBox itself, and created a test VM successfully. If I try to use virsh, this is what I get: Brians-MacBook-Air:~ $ virsh -c

Virtualbox HOWTO?
Hi, I have the latest libvirt from the git repo successfully compiled and up and running under CentOS 6.5. I can connect to the daemon (started with /usr/local/sbin/libvirtd -d --listen) both locally and remotely. I cannot see my virtualbox virtual machines. They run as the user "virtualbox". I connect with virsh -c vbox+tcp://virtualbox@vmserver/session and all list

Strange problem with CentOS 7 and guest additions in VirtualBox
Hi, I'm having a very weird problem with CentOS as a VirtualBox guest. Let me explain it step by step. tl;dr: I can install VirtualBox Guest Additions and configure a fullscreen 1280x1024 graphical resolution on a full install, but not on a reduced install with a lightweight window manager. Here's what I did. 1. Install vanilla CentOS 7 with KDE. 2. Boot to reduced 1024x768

[PATCH] virt-v2v: Support for Converting VirtualBox Guests
Hi, attached is an updated [1] patch for virt-v2v to support converting VirtualBox guests with VirtualBox Guest Additions [2] installed. With the patch applied a VirtualBox RHEL 6 guest with Guest Additions can be converted with the steps documented in the manual page. I've tested this patch on a RHEL 6.2 host running VirtualBox 4.1.8 using a RHEL 6.2 guest, the guest works as expected
