Still no joy: no X11 protocols
Hello, I know this is likely to give me a brute force attack hit, but the only thing anyone can accomplish by ssh-ing to my machine is to provide me with a tunnel into your machine. So don't bother. Anyway, my server machine is running this: /usr/bin/ssh -X -R ${port}:localhost:22 -o BatchMode=yes \ -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no ${user}@${my_home_machine} On my local machine: ssh -vvv -X

X11 Forwarding troubles with OpenSSH client and OpenVMS host
Hello, I searched through the mailing list archives here, at securityfocus.com, at HP and google and have come up dry. Sorry in advance if my search was not complete enough or I missed something but I sure as heck didn't see anything. x11 forwarding problem on solaris
Hi! I am having problems using openssh-3.8.1p1 on sparc-sun-solaris2.8 to connect to another sparc-solaris or x86-linux machine with X11 forwarding enabled. After connecting tot the remote box if I start emacs, type a few characters and then try to select the text with the mouse emacs crashes. This reproduces reliably on a number of solaris/linux machines. Here is the output of ssh -v

X11 problems on AIX (OpenSSH_3.7.1p2-pwexp24)
Hi folks, I've got a problem with X11 forwarding on an AIX 5.2 system thats stumped me. Experimental -R support patch for openssh client
Hi ! Here's an experimental patch for openssh-2.1.1p4 to add support (to openssh client) for -R (protocol 2). So if you have access to a commercial ssh2 server (that allows port forwardings) could you test this patch. (Note the openssh server doesn't have support for -R with protocol 2 so testing with openssh server won't do much good). To test remember to use -o "Protocol

Issue with OpenSSH remote forwarding of dynamic ports
I recently ran across a problem with remote port forwarding in OpenSSH when trying to use dynamic ports. While it is possible to use OpenSSH to request a dynamic port and the OpenSSH sshd handles it just fine, the OpenSSH client gets confused when multiple ports are opened this way, due to the information passed in the "forwarded-tcpip" SSH_MSG_CHANNEL_OPEN message which is sent back to

Protocol 2 remote forwarding patch
Hi all, I'm very new in this list, as looking for codes to plug up the lack of functionality of "Protocol 2 Remote Forwardig". Fortunately, I could find it in MARC's archive. Mr. Jarno Huuskonen posted the codes in Sept, last year, and I tried applying it to my FreeBSD box environment. I couldn't apply an original patch, of course, for incompatibility of virsion. The

2.9p2 -- ForwardX11 fails -- X11 connection uses different authentication protocol
Hi, I just grabed the 2.9p2 and can't forward X11 connections. This worked fine for me under 2.9p1 but with 2.9p2 it seems that $XAUTHORITY isn't getting set and when I try and set it manually connections to the Xserver still fail with: debug1: X11 connection uses different authentication protocol. debug1: X11 rejected 1 i1/o16 Verbose debugs below. client: OpenSSH_2.9p1, SSH

2.9p1 SCO OS 5.0.5 server and Linux client hang on exit when using X11 forwarding and protocol 2
When I run this command: ssh -1 -v -n -l root njdb1b /usr/bin/X11/xterm -sb -sl 1000 -T njdb1b -e find /etc An xterm appears on my screen, the contents of /etc scroll by and then ssh exits. When I invoke the same command with the -2 option, the xterm appears (and disappears) but ssh never exits. netstat says the (ssh) connection is still established but the xterm is no longer

disable features
this (uncomplete) patch makes various features compile time options and saves up to 24K in the resulting ssh/sshd binaries. i don't know whether this should be added to the CVS since it makes the code less readable. perhaps WITH_COMPRESSION should be added, since it removes the dependency on libz -m Index: Makefile.inc =================================================================== RCS

The X-Server running on the WinNT machine is Hummingbird Exceed 6.1 . I have activated X11-Forwarding in the config-files on both machines. I'm sitting in front of the WinNT machine and want to do a

Protocol 2 remote forwarding patch
Hi ! Here's a patch to add remote port forwarding support (protocol 2) for openssh. I have tried to test that it works like it should but a more thorough testing is needed. This patch adds both client/server support. The patch should be applied to openssh-2.1.1p4 source tree. Also included is a PortForwarding sshd_config option, new ./configure option --disable-forwarding that should make it
