mod_clamav, apache and centos6?
I'm trying to get mod_clamav working with Apache on a CentOS 6.6 box - without much luck ... I'm using httpd 2.2.15-39.el6.centos.x86_64 with clamav 0.98.6-1.el6.x86_64 (from EPEL) and mod_clamav 0.23 compiled from source via http://software.othello.ch/mod_clamav/ The mod_clamav source hasn't been updated in nearly 6 years - so may well no longer work with more recent versions of

Centos6 - Apache + mod_dav_svn + ldap
Hello, I am using Apache with mod_svn authorization via 389-DS LDAP. Users are complaining, that after 10 minutes the SVN session hangs and they need to restart the client. There is no problem with .htpasswd authorization. I came across this url http://directory.fedoraproject.org/wiki/Howto:Subversion_Apache_LDAP, I set "LDAPCacheEntries 0", but the problem is still existing. Does

Strrange behavior of VirtualHosts in Apache (CentOS6)
Hello, there is a short explanation about virtual hosts in Apache ... https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/ApacheVhostDefault the `hostname` gives a different donmain name than what should be hosted ... e.g. `hostname` is host.example.org and the domain to be hosted is example.com, so I did this: <VirtualHost 1.2.3.4:80> ServerName host.example.org DocumentRoot /var/www/default

JRE 8.1 for CentOS6
> When I put in http it changes it back to https That's common now that everyone puts re-directs in to force everyone to use https. Can you get to the Apache logs on the remote machine? They may have more info. The error about Java 1.8 might be a red-herring. If the remote machine uses Perl on the backend, you might try setting the shell env variable OPENSSL_PREFIX to point on your

Apache warns Web server admins of DoS attack tool
Anyone have any idea how soon RHEL and CentOS will be releasing the patch package? Excerpt: Computerworld - Developers of the Apache open-source project today warned users of the popular Web server software that a denial-of-service (DoS) tool is circulating that exploits a bug in the program. The tool, called "Apache Killer," showed up last Friday in a post to the "Full

apache, passenger, and selinux
I seem to have quieted some, but I'm still getting noise from selinux. Here's one that really puzzles me: my users have a ruby app with passenger running. However, one of the sealerts gives me: sealert -l 5a02b0a1-8512-4f71-b1c8-70a40b090a9d SELinux is preventing /bin/chmod from using the fowner capability. ***** Plugin catchall_boolean (89.3 confidence) suggests *******************

problems with apache downgrade
There was an upgrade on a couple of our servers yesterday, mid-afternoon our time, of httpd and httpd-devel, and suddenly SiteMinder (bleah) stopped working correctly, and is now pegging a cpu, according to top. So, as a last resort, I tried downgrading both of them. When I did so, the server that uses ssl *erased* mod-ssl, not downgrading it, and I'll have to find where I can get the previous

Re: Passing env var from Apache to Mongrel
Hi Yan, If you just need to access the env var which doesn''t change like SERVER_NAME, you should be able to access it directly using "request". However, if your env var is dynamicly set, you can try my way. I use mod_rewrite to proxy to Mongrel. In your httpd.conf (you need mod_header) RequestHeader set X_YOUR_ENV your_value And in Rails access it by
