Live Disk Backup
Dear All, using CentOS 7.2.1511, and libvirt from ovirt repositories (currently 1.2.17-13.el7_2.5, but without otherwise using ovirt) I am regularly backing up my VMs which are on qcow2 files. In general, I am trying to follow http://wiki.libvirt.org/page/Live-disk-backup-with-active-blockcommit A typical backup script would be #!/bin/bash dt=`date +%y%m%d` if virsh dominfo dockers10a | grep

Nested KVM issue
More details on the subject: I suppose it is a nested KVM issue because it raised after I enabled the nested KVM feature. Without it, anyway, the second level VMs are unusable in terms of performance. I am using CentOS 7 with: kernel: 3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64 qemu-kvm:1.5.3-105.el7_2.4 libvirt:1.2.17-13.el7_2.5 on both the baremetal and the compute VM. The only workaround now is to shutdown

New error: Failed to create chardev
Hi. I'm running libvirt across a fleet of CentOS 7 desktops to provide VMs for other operating systems, and they've been running fine for the last year, through rebuilds, etc. In the last week, PCs that have been rebuilt no longer start our VMs, failing with the error: error: internal error: process exited while connecting to monitor: 2016-09-15T10:15:12.839724Z qemu-kvm: -chardev

Cannot boot CentOS 7 VM after updating Host CentOS 7 Kernel

yum install fails - itertoolsmodule.so
Hi Gary, That "Input/output error" suggests a disk problem to me. Does that file /usr/lib64/python2.7/lib-dynload/itertoolsmodule.so actually exist and is it readable? Also look the the output of 'rpm -V python-libs' to see if rpm considers the installed files to be corrupt. If it's not that, then you could try 'yum reinstall python-libs'. Paddy On Thu, Nov 07,
