C6 Firefox 45.1 segmentation faults
I also have this problem. Am still running previous FF version. So ffmpeg appears to be at fault, need to see if it's a version thing or something. -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology! It isn't just 32-bit, but also 64-bit, and it isn't just Flash, but also HTML 5. To notice the bug, all you have to do

annoying random Firefox crash - how to debug?
Hi, My firefox (Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.1.6) Gecko/20091216 Fedora/3.5.6-1.fc11 Firefox/3.5.6) on Gnome 2.26.3 will randomly crash, without any errors. /var/log/messages & /var/log/Xorg.0.log doesn't show anything that caused any errors. And it doesn't matter on which website(s) I'm busy with, it will just crash. Does anyone know how to check for a

Firefox addons disabled - temporary fix
The currently available fix for Firefox doesn't work with ESR, but there's a temporary fix that works. At least, it's working for me: Go to about:config and set xpinstall.signatures.required to false. The Firefox folks say that a fix for ESR will be coming at some point, but at least this gets things working again in the short term. It's not clear to me if the fixed ESR (when

what does firefox have against sans-serif
I've been struggling to get Firefox to render text in a sans-serif font. So far, I've only been able to do that by setting the default font as sans-serif. DejaVu Sans Mono and DajaVu Sans are the only other listed fonts that I'm reasonalbly sure are sans-serif. Helvetica and Arial are not there. sans-serif does work on Konqueror. Does anyone know how to affect the font-family on

Minimized Firefox is not visible on panel in CentOS 5.2
Hi, I opened a Firefox on Desktop, but when I clicked Minimize Window button, the Firefox disappeared and there was no icon on the panel, I simply could not find it any more (it did not close), this was the same for the terminal as well . How can I make the Firefox icon visible on panel (or workplaces) even it was minimized? Thank you. Jim

My linux keeps logging me off when I run Firefox (how to debug)?
This is a strange one to me. Just recently, my Centos 6 has been "gentle crashing" where it doesn't crash, per se, but the screen goes black, and the login prompt pops up. It only happens when I run Firefox and it only started happening this morning. However, it has happened a dozen times, and always when Firefox is running. It does NOT happen when Firefox is not running. I

which firefox tab is eating my CPU?
According to top, plugin-containe is eating more than 120% of my CPU? I expect that that is allowed because I have a dual core CPU. Firefox is sloooooooowwwww. I expect that plugin-containe... is running in a firefox tab. How do I non-destructively discover which one? I'm running CentOS 6 and firefox 24.8.0 . I haven't updated firefox in a while because I've read that doing so will
