How to make an unattended backup
Hi,
I use AptVanBelle repo for samba, is there a way to backup in unattended
way (I mean via cron) the DC?
If I use
samba-tool domain backup online --targetdir=/srv/backup --server=
samba4.example.com -k yes -d1
It works, by it ask for password Administrator.
What is the best practice to do it?
Thanks in advance!

Relabel /usr directory
Hi,
I've done the following:
- Copy usr content with rsync to another partition:
rsync -av --partial --progress /usr/ /mnt
Then, unmounted, added to fstab a line for /usr, then deleted /usr/* (not
the directory itself). But I've found that is bad labeled:
ls -Z /usr
unconfined_u:object_r:unlabeled_t:s0 bin
unconfined_u:object_r:unlabeled_t:s0 local

Distro and release recommended
Hi community,
I'd like to deploy a SAMBA4 as a Active Directory Domain Controller. It's
for around 30 domain users and 60 hosts.
AFAIK CentOS package does not support AD DC role,
I thought in Debian, but the release available in their repo's is 4.5.x. So
would you recommend:
- Compiling from sources?
- To use backports
- Choose some other distro?
So, in short, what distro and

Problem with Firefox and SSH/browser
Hi folks,
I have a problem, shame on me I feel as newbie, I cannot open Firefox
though ssh.
ssh server is 7.2 and ssh client (running Xorg) is Fedora 23. Firefox does
not open. I've tried a lot of methods, even adding xauth cookie, and for
example:
firefox --no-remote --no-xshm
debug3: receive packet: type 90

Cannot Static Routes
Hi,
I'd want to configure persistent static routes, ie in config files, but I
can't configure static routes, I tested:
[root at centos7 ~]# cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/routes-enp0s3
ADDRESS0=10.10.10.0
NETMASK0=255.255.255.0
GATEWAY0=192.168.1.1
logs says nothing:

OT: is parted reliable?
Hi, I've read on LPI Linux Certification (Ed O'Reilly) in a nutshell
the following thing:
"parted, unfortunately, has been known to corrupt partition tables and
ruin filesystem."
What do you think about it?
Greets!
