miro from rpmforge appears to have dep solving issues
Hi folks, Anyone know the whereabouts of libgtkembedmoz.so()(64bit) as it is needed by miro-1.0-1.el5.rf.x86_64 (rpmforge) I tried a whatprovides and have looked at epel as well as rpmforge - no luck. While I'm asking, I'm looking for an internet HD TV viewer - miro looked interesting - any other products you know of? TIA Rob -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment

kmod-nvidia problems
Hi List, I use the kmod-nvidia package on my CentOS workstations. Always this has "just worked". SSD drives for the OS - 1 or 2?
Preparing to build a small replacement server (initially built in 2005) and normally for the OS I would buy 2x500GB drives and deploy in a RAID 1 configuration. Now we have SSD drives available - does just a single SSD drive offer the same reliability or is there advantage in deploying two in a Raid 1 config? Also, what form factor / interface is best for the SSD OS boot device on a server

"selinux --disabled" in kickstart file does NOT disable SELINUX
To set selinux to permissive or disabled mode during a kickstart installation, add the sed -i -e 's/\(^SELINUX=\).*$/\1permissive/' /etc/selinux/config command to the %post section of the kickstart file. Making sure to replace "permissive" with the required selinux mode. -- https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=435300 On 26 May 2015 at 04:40, Rob Kampen <rkampen at

default gw route has gone?
Weird behaviour. A couple of days ago I installed another DSL router. During the process I have somehow caused the default gw route to disappear - on system start up the interface comes up fine, I can see and connect to the local subnet but not to the internet. Frefox update from firefox-60.2.0-1.el7.centos.x86_64 to 60.2.1-1.el7.centos.x86_64 lost master password
Hi list, Did an update to firefox last night and rebooted over night. Today I find firefox started without asking for master password - funny me thinks. Try to log in to a web service I use and find that my password does not appear. Check preferences and find that no master password is set and the password list / table is empty. As I do not trust my passwords to the cloud I do not save

C7 Desktop background
Hi Just stumbled into a problem with my recent new build C7 work station. Fully updated, gnome desktop, all was working well until I had a play with Tweak Tool, I wanted to try some other themes for window layouts as the default seems to not show check boxes correctly in all situations. I haven't yet determined what is causing this but suspected another theme may work better, as not being

5.4 kernel versions?
Please excuse a possibly dumb question. Prior to the release of CentOS 5.4 I believe two updated 5.4 kernels were released as part of 5.3 2.6.18-164.el5 and 2.6.18-164.2.1.el5 Now that 5.4 is released we have just the 2.6.18-164.el5 kernel. Now the dumb question - what happened to the updated kernel? I now have workstations running 5.4 with the 164.2.1.el5 as they get yum update run regularly,

Which manual?
