Issues when updating CentOS 7
Hi all, I wanted to update my CentOS 7 install this morning and I started getting the errors from below. Any ideas on a fix? They seem to be related to cinnamon which I actually don't use at all (the machine was prepared by our IT at work and they install both Gnome and Cinnamon by default). Since I don't use it, I guess an option would be to remove it altogether and then I will

compile samba 4.10.2 centos 7.6
Hi Nico, I've understood about use export PYTHON=python3.4 in /etc/profile. The host that I've done it is in my test environment. I have only question about this: after samba 4.10.2 installed, it ever never need use python3 to do anything about samba? PS1: In my environment, the host run only Samba (samba and bind) service. I disagree about use python 3.6 instead python 3.4, though. In

4.10.0, python3 and Debian 8.11
Hi, First of all - thanks very much to the team for the work that has gone into 4.10.0, I have downloaded it and am looking forward to upgrading :) I decided to try and use Python3 with my 4.10.0 upgrade, given the comments in the release notes; but I have some newbie questions that hopefully others can help with. I'm really not up to speed with python3 yet! This version of Debian evidently

Openshot 2.x (beta) on C7??
Well, by the looks of it, it bundles all the deps in one archive, so you no longer depend on system ones, but also you miss out on system updates. As an example, should there be another openssl vulnerability, "yum update openssl" will not save you, you'll have to wait for the Openshot dev to issue an updated appimage. -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology! compile samba 4.10.2 centos 7.6
Hi Gabriel, I've compiled Samba 4.10.2 on CentOS 7 successfully. I've read the wiki that 4.10.2 version is full compatible with python 3, specifically python 3.4. Then I've install, use the yum command, the package python34-devel and I've added an environment variable at /etc/profile with export PYTHON=python3.4. Thus, I've run ./configure, make and make install with no

Very nice, it probably has to do with http://appimage.org/ So the appimage did not work on EL6? Anyway, hope to see more apps like this. :-) Big win for the users usability wise, not sure how security will be impacted. -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology!
