[PATCH] (vesa)menu.c32: Add support for BLS
Modern distributions are moving toward a common boot scheme called "The Boot
Loader Specification". This patch enables syslinux's (vesa)menu.c32 modules to
parse the drop-in files that are defined by this new specification.

Re: LXC + USB passthrough = Operation not permitted
I'd also like to point out that, when setting up a linux container with
_just_ the lxc tools available in ubuntu, all that was needed to be done
was whitelist the appropriate cgroups for the Android devices. The lxc
tools seem to create the appropriate character devices when you
detach/attach the Android device via USB, and the Android `adb` tool
recognized the devices.
So, a tangential

Game freezing
Hello,
I hope it is ok to come here for a little help.
I use _Samba Version 4.5.12-Debian_ on a _Linux serveur 4.9.0-4-amd64 #1

Asterisk and VMWare
Hi,
There is any experience using Asterisk with VMWare?
I think about installing a virtual linux box over VMWare and then Asterisk
over it.
Thanks,
Dan

Dale,
Been using Ubuntu server for years in my AD. Discovered a long time ago
that apparmor is not needed for a server. (Someone is probably going to
argue the other that is should be but . . .)
Do not quote me but, I have read that AppArmor is intended more for a
desktop environment. I have always disabled and then removed AppArmor and
have never had any issues. Of course I am behind a hardware

[PATCH] Fix for udev >= 176
I've pushed this upstream already, since Fedora Rawhide doesn't work
without this patch. I'm posting here for the benefit of other distros
that might hit this problem.

acts_as_solr plugin fate?
Just wanted to see if I was using the latest acts_as_solr plugin, but
the URL <http://acts_as_solr.railsfreaks.com/> takes me to a GoDaddy
domain parking page.
Anyone know what''s happened to railsfreaks, and more particularly
this plugin?

Windows RailsInstaller for 2.3.x ?
Can anyone tell me which RailsInstaller version was the last one
that provided Rails 2.3.x ?
The release notes are a bit skimpy :-) but I need to help someone
on Windows get set up to work on a legacy app.
TIA,

MailChimp API recommendations?
This page - <http://www.mailchimp.com/api/downloads/> - lists five
gems/plugins for interacting with the MailChimp service, and for all
I know there are others.
Anyone have a personal recommendation? Based on any of stability,
ease of integration, completeness, whatever...
TIA,

Debian Buster, bind_dlz, and apparmor
Hai,
Normaly i kick in sooner but im in bed fit by flu. :-(
You have to add the bind paths to the apparmor profile, or disable apparmor in total, just dont remove it, should work also.
debian wiki or ubuntu wiki shows how.
But why are you using buster, imo really not safe, if you wany a 4.7 for stretch use my apt.
When im better i can have a look into your problem more closely.

Re: LXC + USB passthrough = Operation not permitted
Can you see the USB device in the lxc?
My answering assumes you cannot see the USB device in the container. If you can see it, please ignore my answer.
According to my understanding, “hostdev mode='subsystem' “ is used with KVM only. We use this if we want to passthrough a device to a KVM virtual machine. After doing that, the host machine will lose control of the device. If container is

Building PXE Bootable images using the libguestfs toolchain
As part of the oVirt Node[1] project, I'm going to P.O.C. a version of
the node using febootstrap 2.x instead of livecd-creator. The main
reasons in doing this is for allowing a r/w root filesystem without
some hacky overlayfs and just to see if it can be done. On IRC,
rwmjones mentioned a few issues he ran into with febootstrap 2.x where
some rpms had %post scripts which aren't really

Date formatting error
Hi All,
I''m a bit stumped. All I''m trying to do is format a date and I get an
error. Details below.
I have a partial to list all "notes" associated with a "client" with the
following code.
<% for note in @client.notes %>
<hr />
<%=h note.note_text %>
Posted on <%=h note.created_at.strftime("%I:%M") %> by <%=h
