Java versions in CentOS
Hi All,
Following the latest security updates from Oracle, the version of OpenJDK package is currently listed as:
java-1.7.0-openjdk-1.7.0.51-2.4.4.1.el6_5.x86_64.rpm
The Redhat security advisory lists these packages: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2014-0026.html
but it makes no reference to the build number, which it turns out is important.
The build on the package in centos 6.5 is

R 3.2.2 - make check and install package hang
Hello Everyone,
After trying several ways to compile R 3.2.2 without luck, I?m reaching out for help.
The ?make check? does not hanges for some reason and when
trying to install a package it cannot list the download sites (see below).
What could be the problem?
./configure --enable-R-shlib --enable-BLAS-shlib
hostname = test
uname -m = x86_64
uname -r = 2.6.32-573.7.1.el6.x86_64

CentOS 7 User Manager Tool
I have CentOS 7 installed with GUI (Gnome 3.8.4) and I'm trying to
follow the guide at
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-US/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux/7/html/System_Administrators_Guide/s1-users-configui.html
it speaks of "System > Administration" from the GUI or
"system-config-users" from the command line, but I can't find either? I
don't have a

答复: CentOS 7 docs, tutorials, etc...
Perhaps RHEL/CentOS 7 are something different, however, they just change a little, their base used are similar. On a gnome desktop, if you want to add a shortcut to the desktop, you can reference xxx.desktop in /usr/share/application/ , than write some similar xxx. desktop which you prefer and cp to the desktop directory ? it's really useful..

[LLVMdev] [vmkit]Errors when compiling vmkit
Hi,
I see that now vmkit2 contains the last revisions of the project, so I
follow these instructions to compile vmkit :
http://vmkit2.gforge.inria.fr/start.php
I download and compile LLVM without errors. I have tested with and without
optimizations but this is the same for the errors.
My configuration for LLVM is just : ./configure; make
Apparently we can build vmkit with OpenJDK instead of GNU

Yum java-devel not listed installed
Folks
I performed an install of "java-devel". Several packages got
installed. So far so good.
Yet, when I performed
yum list installed | grep java-devel
and also
yum rpm -qa | grep java-devel
it did not show up as already installed.
This behavior appears both on Centos7 and Centos6. This bothers me
because as a time-saving effort, I maintain the last output of "yum

[LLVMdev] [vmkit]Errors when compiling vmkit
Hi Julien,
Due to some new commits, openjdk build is broken for the moment.
We are fixing this.
You can temporarily use the following commit to try VMKit with OpenJDK
implementation.
d9bf3794d66a116999f8f16d0799fba6fe5bd822
just call the following command in your vmkit directory:
git checkout d9bf3794d66a116999f8f16d0799fba6fe5bd822
