fprintd needed?
On a 7.2 desktop system I see irregular attempts to start
the fingerprint authentication daemon "fprintd".
One of the messages is
"D-Bus service launched with name: net.reactivated.Fprint"
This fails as there is no fingerprint device.
fprintd.service is disabled.
Without a fingerprint device, is this software needed.
Yum removal (aborted) shows no packages dependent on

Hung kernel task on CentOS 7.2, fprintd and libvirtd

If you can still replicate the problem, it might be instructive to use
"dbus-monitor" to find out what is (and isn't)

Hello programmers, hello maintainers!
Like most of the old smtp servers (e.g. sendmail), ssh servers makes it
pretty easy for an attacker to get the name of the software and its version:

Blacklist
I''ve just setup shorewall (Excellent application) and I''m having trouble
blocking the IP addresses below. These addresses are being blocked by
Postfix, However I would like these addresses not to enter my mail system
and get terminated before reaching the system. I followed the
instructions, but no luck, is the configuration below correct. I''m using
ver 2.0.8.

Strategy for importing temporary .csv file?
For some reason, I''ve posted this question to this forum 4 times now
and it never appears in the daily consolidated email I get daily?
I''ve written a routine allowing the client user to declare where
their .csv import file resides and then send it to the server to
import the many rows into an existing model table, and then throw it
away.
I''ve imported many graphic files

Got it. I misread part of your last message, and thought that logins
were /not/ working when sssd was running.

ldap host attribute is ignored
Hmmm...., i have made now a complete new install but the problem
persists: ldap authentication works, but the host attribute is ignored.
I have installed CentOS7 64bit with KDE.
I did not do any 'yum update' or install of extra packages so far.
these pam and ldap packages are installed:
openldap-devel-2.4.39-6.el7.x86_64
openssh-ldap-6.6.1p1-11.el7.x86_64
openldap-2.4.39-6.el7.x86_64

ldap host attribute is ignored
Thanks a lot for looking over the config.
I am at the topic "user data is available"
id <username>
and
getent passwd
and
ldapsearch -x -b "ou=XXX,o=YYY" uid=<username>
give the correct results
ldapsearch gives also the correct host attribute i have set in the ldap
server.
Regarding the manpage of sssd.conf the lines
access_provider = ldap
ldap_access_order =

I am still not understanding why your using MD5? Is it because everyone in InfoSec declared that everyone finally went from md5 to sha512 or what?
