Seeking Clarification CentOS 7 as Samba 4 Active Directory Domain Controller
I performed a Samba 4 Active Directory Domain Controller install in June of 2015 on CentOS 7. At that time I used the Samba 4.1.XX package from SerNet due to the absence of necessary heimdal packages and libraries not provided in the CentOS 7 Samba package. Since the the 4.1 series is on security fix only, I'd like to upgrade to the latest package that tracks with CentOS 7. When searching the

Can I configure CentOS 8.1 1911 as an Active Directory Domain Controller like a Windows Server?
Hi, Thank you for your prompt reply. The guide which you have shared looks very detailed. I have also found another guide at samba.org but not very sure whether it is good. Seems solved - Re: sernet kerberos
Going back here on old messages about kerberos I did: yum install krb5-workstation And kinit and others are there and working. Seems reasonable that the client should not care about the backed type (Heimdal or MIT). Though don't know if I need to install krb5-devel; time will tell. Seeking clarification about indirect critical edges
Hello all! (I apologize if I've ended up in the wrong list!) I'm trying to get a better understanding of LLVM's critical edge splitting, as documented in `Transforms/Utils/BasicBlockUtils.h`; specifically in the case of critical edges which are indirect transfer. The code comments discuss the following example: a CFG with direct edges A->D, B->D, and an indirect critical edge

How to disable des and rc4 in the active directory domain controller ?
Hi, When I run 'samba-tool domain exportkeytab', I found the exported keytab file include arcfour-hmac-md5, aes256-cts-hmac-sha1-96, aes128-cts-hmac-sha1-96, des-cbc-md5, and des-cbc-crc. It seems that modify /etc/krb5.conf no help. My DC running with samba 4.1.13, and the server role is active directory domain controller. Thanks, Dongsheng

That makes way more sense, thank you so much! >From your description it sounds like you were assuming that “D1”, rather > than “D0B”, is the original block “D”. Samba on AIX - Active directory
On the IBM web site they have version 4.3.8. I have not tested this IBM package as yet. Another site that has compiled versions of samba is http://www.bullfreeware.com/ I do not know if the packages on this site have been compiled with AD support or as AD-DC's. You can use smbd -b to find out what configure options samba was built with. I used to do my own compilation/builds of samba but I
