invalid 'row.names' length error when running scatterplots or plot in R Commander
Hello, I teach statistics and use R Commander for teaching. I have 2 students out of 169 that can't get scatterplots or plot to work. I have had them update packages, restart R/R Commander/their computers and even reinstall R/R Commander. One is using Windows 7 on a new pc and the other is a pc user (not sure the OS). They are both using R2.11.1 and R Commander 1.6-0. The data look like

How to install packages from git.centos.org
Hey Johnny, thank you very much for your instructions. The build is running at the moment but there seems to be a small bug in kernel-rt.spec. I changed the line 684 from mv %{name}-%{rpmversion}-%{pkg_release_simple}%{dist} vanilla-%{kversion}; to mv %{name}-%{rpmversion}-%{pkg_release_simple}* vanilla-%{kversion}; The reason is that the tarball contains a folder with dist-tag .el7_2. So when

gcc 8/9 on CentOS 7
I am looking to make use of gcc 8/9 on CentOS 7, which is currently with gcc 4.8.5. How do I go about doing this? SCL repository provides the same as part of devtoolset8, but devtoolset8 libstdc++-devel i686 package is missing, without which I can not build 32 bit applications. Are there any repository sources from where I can get this? Otherwise, I am open to building the packages from sources.

Mirror sync strategy or problem?
Hello, I have a CentOS 7 server, right installed. I notice that some packages that are present at http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7/updates/x86_64/Packages/ are not present yet at some other mirrors (that are the ones my fastestmirror plugin picks up... even after a clean): http://centos.datente.com/media/7/updates/x86_64/Packages/ or

Perl516 SCL modules
Hi, I'm trying to build several SCL perl516 modules for using assp spamfilter. Some modules have dependencies which spend a lot of errors or can not be build on a x86_64 system. perl-Email-Valid-0.184 for example needs Win32::IPHelper and Win32::TieRegistry. If I build this rpm for standard perl510, the Win32 modules are not required. Why are theses dependencies only for perl516? Can I

compiling fedora srpm on CentOS
I tried installing fedora grpc srpm on CentOS and ran into following error when installing srpm. I understand fedora makes use of more recent versions of openssl, glibc etc but why should this happen when installing source rpm? Any pointers/articles on how to go about building fedora srpms on CentOS? Any way out other than building directly using sources? rpm -i grpc-1.17.1-3.fc30.i686.rpm
