CentOS 7, NSF, "feature" [SOLVED]
The issue: NFS fails to start in CentOS 7 if it cannot resolve any of a list of hosts. Well, my manager had to google to find the *truly* obscure solution that uses a deeply oddball syntax. In /usr/lib/systemd/system/nfs-server.service, you edit the following line so that it looks like this: ExecStartPre=-/usr/sbin/exportfs -r Notice the *deeply* weird syntax of "=-<cmd>". This

Xen''s interface in promiscuous mode
Hello all, Playing with Xen on GNU/Debian Lenny, I just discovered that all my virtual network cards are in promiscuous mode by default. Changing that manually does not seems to change anything (that is, everything still works great). Is there any reason to have virtual network cards in promiscuous mode ? And where can I change this default behaviour ? Thanks, JB

Our security experts don't want me to use NetworkManager... It's even uninstalled on the models, so I understand better why all the required files are not here : # systemctl status

Question about Domino NSF files
I use Rsync to backup 53Gb worth of nsf files from a domino wintel based server, to a linux server. This works fine, however when trying to use cp ?al to make incremental copies, each copy always ends up being 53Gb in size. I?m not sure if this is because the files are in use by the domino server at the time of the backup or if there is some other reason. Has anybody else come across this or know
