Internal DNS Forwarder
I have setup a Samba PDC using the following guide:
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Setup_a_Samba_Active_Directory_Domain_Controller
I have opted to use the internal Samba DNS server and have specified a DNS
forwarder of 8.8.8.8
When I test the DNS functionality according to the guide everything appears
fine:
user at myhost:~$ host -t SRV _ldap._tcp.ad.mydomain.com.au.

Enable_extended_ACL_support_in_smb.conf
I am not 100% clear as to when the following is required in smb.conf on a
member server:
vfs objects = acl_xattr
map acl inherit = yes
store dos attributes = yes
https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Shares_with_Windows_ACLs#Enable_extended_ACL_support_in_smb.conf
I have confirmed Samba is compiled with ACL support:
[root at centos7member ~]# smbd -b | grep HAVE_LIBACL

getent not listing domain accounts
Hi,
If your system is Debian use:
ln -s /usr/local/samba/lib/libnss_winbind.so /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/
ln -s /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnss_winbind.so
/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libnss_winbind.so.2
And "getent passwd" will show the domain users. Maybe you need restart de
server.

net rpc rights list
I have sssd configured and working with my domain member server and I now
wish to grant the SeDiskOperatorPrivilege to the "MYDOMAIN\Domain Admins"
group. When I execute the command it appears to disregard the domain name
and grant the privileges to the group "Unix Group\domain admins"
net rpc rights list accounts -U'MYDOMAIN\administrator'
