CentOS-6.7, kvm bridges, virtual interfaces, and routes
I have been looking at this problem on and off for a considerable
period. Given my lack of knowledge I have been unable to resolve this
quickly and in consequence it has been constantly shoved to the
background as other issues arise.
Here is the situation:
I have two dual-homed kvm hosts both running CentOS-6.7 and
identically configured. These are connected to the same LAN segment

CentOS-6.7, kvm bridges, virtual interfaces, and routes
Search for policy routing. Surprisingly, I cannot find anything about it in the RHEL6 docs.
You don't say how exactly you tried. It should be sufficient to edit rt_tables (maybe that's a step you missed? The actual number used doesn't matter) and add the route-eth1/rule-eth1 files on every host involved. I.e. no separate route/rule file shold be needed for the default interfaces.

Ethernet equipment testing with two NICs
I have a Linux 2.6.16 machine with two gigabit ethernet adapters that I
would like to use for testing Ethernet equipment---right now just an
Ethernet cable, but later switches, bridges, etc.
I tried assigning the two adapters IPs of 192.168.50.1 and 192.168.51.1
and then setup the routing table to direct 192.168.51.0/24 traffic to
the first adapter, and 192.168.50.0/24 traffic to the second,

Problems with smbpasswd, tdb_fetch_uint32 failed
Good Afternoon,
I had sent in an earlier message about trying to login and getting
dropped from a W2000 workstation. I received a reply back to upgrade
Samba from 3.013 to 3.020x. I did this.
Operating System: SuSE 9.3
Samba Version: 3.0.20a (SuSE's RPMs)
I am using /etc/samba/smbpasswd file and not LDAP to store the users and
passwords.

Xen 4.1.0, multiple network interfaces, network-bridge failing to create multiple bridges
Hi *,
having built Xen 4.1.0 and running my Dom0 on Slackware 13.1, I''m
trying to assign different physical network interfaces to different
DomU guests:

in the DomU configuration files.
My /etc/xen/scripts/network-bridge script, however, doesn''t create more
than one bridge:

USB Serial ports (ttyACMn) CentOS 6.7 (64-bit) vs. CentOS 6.7 (64-bit)
I sent this out about a week or so ago, but I have heard nothing. I am
*thinking* it is a SELINUX problem, but I cannot figure out what. The SELINUX
settings for both machines are *exactly* the same (the stock defaults for a
standard CentOS 6 install). The *only* difference is that the desktop
(sauron) has a few VMs setup (under KVM) and the laptop (gollum) does not. The
desktop has an AMD

Both naming schemes are correct, depending on the *type* of USB to serial converter. The difference comes down to a low-level USB implementation detail which I?ve never bothered to commit to long-term memory.

I have not yet found a USB-to-serial adapter detected as /dev/ttyACM1.
Try /dev/ttyUSB0 ?
