yes, but is it 'basic serial UPS' or is it 'enhanced serial UPS' ? the
former do NOT use the rx/tx data of the serial port at all, they ONLY use

Question about "generic" USB <=> Serial Port kernel drivers...
OK, I am running CentOS 6 on my Laptop and Desktop, presently kernel version
2.6.32-696.20.1.el6.x86_64 (yes, a version or so out of date -- I'll probably
do an update soon -- non-trivial since my Internet connection is via dialup).
I recently bought a couple of Adafruit Arduino compatibles, a Flora and a
Metro 328. Hooking up the Flora and the Metro to a Raspberry Pi running

Cypress Semiconductor USB to serial
My UPS has a usb interface with USB-to-Serial chip.
But ucycom driver doesn't recognize it.
uhid driver does, but it doesn't help me, I need a virtual com port.
(output below is without uhid loaded)
What can I do to get it working?
udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/usb_device_665_5161_noserial'
freebsd.device_file = '/dev/ugen1' (string)
freebsd.driver =

USB-serial adapter for CentOS 7
I need to connect an older APS UPS unit to a machine running CentOS 7. Unfortunately the UPS only has a serial port whereas the computer does not. I am aware that there are USB-serial adapters but that the hardware or the drivers might fall short of expectations.
Does anyone have positive experience with such an adapter? Or, conversely, would recommend avoid a particular adapter?

[LLVMdev] Is LLVM expressive enough to represent asynchronous exceptions?
Hi Chris, I've CC'd Eric Botcazou in the hope that he will clear up just what
the Ada front-end needs from the rest of the compiler as far as asynchronous
exceptions are concerned.

Spurious Interrupts on guest OS
Hi All,
I am trying to run a RTOS as a guest on a OMAP5432 evm and am seeing a spurious interrupt problem when programming the virtual timer interrupts. My RTOS test case uses the A15 Virtual timer to create a timer instance. Once programmed, the virtual timer interrupt is injected into my guest's virtual CPU interface as expected and the interrupt is also forwarded to my guest. At this

Unable to set up a "serial-over-USB" UPS (APC BZ2200BI-BR)
Dear NUT users/developers,
I'm having trouble while trying to configure the UPS APC BZ2200BI-BR[1] in NUT,
which despite having a USB cable it apparently communicates using the serial
protocol.
The relevant output of 'lsusb' is:
Bus 002 Device 004: ID 051d:c812 American Power Conversion
The device is registered as /dev/ttyACM0 and uses the kernel module 'cdc_acm'

[LLVMdev] Optimization Help
I am working on a program which links with the FTDI USB driver (ftd2xx.dylib). Prior to a couple of hours ago I had only worked with Debug builds of my code (no compiler optimizations). In testing a production build, I found that using anything other than -O0 results in the FTDI driver returning bad data; just a lot of zeroes. I tested and re-tested to make sure that changing just that one option

Nortel Meridian Opt 81C and PRI
We've been trying unsuccessfully to connect our Meridian Option 81C to a
TE110P via PRI. We've followed the directions in
asterisk-meridian-a1.pdf (link on
http://www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/Asterisk+legacy+integration), but it
doesn't seem to work on our 81C (even though many, many users report it
works very well on Option 11's).
Has anyone had any success in getting the above

can't connect to an Eaton Powerware 9155 over a usb-serial adapter
hello everyone,
I've been testing the NUT solution as opposed to the undocumented LanSafe
application to control my Eaton UPS.
I am on a Slackware 13.37 system with a 2.6.37.6 kernel. NUT version is
2.4.3 .
I installed the tarball by compiling it directly on my system (as a
slackbuild package).
The UPS is an Eaton Powerware 9155, but I don't know how to obtain the
manufacturing date. The

HandBrakeCLI crashes when converting
Hello!
At first, i want to run the latest HandBrake (version 0.93) on a Mac with Mac OS 10.4 (Tiger).
The problem is, that Handbrake is developed for Mac OS 10.5 (XCode SDK is not compatible to Mac OS 10.4 one).
So i decided to try it with wine/darwine.
Because wine is better supported on Linux and you can get easier newer version (apt-get), i decided to run HandBrakeCLI.exe on Debian Etch

LLVM on bare-metal
Hi Tim.
Thank you for taking to time to comment on the background!
I will definitely study lldb and remote JIT for ideas. I worry that I
will not be able to pre-link on the host side because the host cannot(?)
know the final memory layout of code on the client side, especially when
there are multiple plugins being loaded in different combinations on the
host and client. Is that an
