is a continual pain.
I'm attempting to follow the instructions here:

(yes, I know it's a fedora forum (but the same stupid mistake persists
in the GE packages) but apparently the rpmrebuild binary is nolonger
available, at least not in Centos (specifically, CentOS-7.2.1511).

Does Nouveau break the nVidia drivers?
Dear developers
I would like to submit dumps, but I spend ~4 hours last time on
installing the nVidia drivers, and ended up with the livna.org RPM's.
So can I install the Nouveau driver without damaging the nVidia drivers?
I am using Fedora 7 and integrated NVIDIA GeForce 6150. That's the C51
core, right?

Google Earth on EL6.x x86_64
Has anyone gotten 64-bit google earth to run on el6 x86_64?
It dies almost immediately, complaining for lack of ld-lsb.so.3.
Perusing user forums at google I see a few others with the problem,
but no (working) solutions.
Thanks in advance!

rpmrebuild or rpmbuild question
Hello
I have compiled php on a server, but want to upgrade and recompile it
with new features.
is rpmbuild or rpmrebuild capable of compiling or adding these new
features ? or I should
download the source and run ./configure again ? what about yum ? it was
great if yum or
rpmbuild could save the current config and just add the new extensions.
Thanks

User unknown in local recipient table? Dovecot LDA/Postfix
This probably is a postfix problem, but I think there are lots of postfix
experts/users on this list, and have heard a lot good things about this
list, so I am just giving it a try. Thanks in advance!
I am using dovecot-1.0.0-8_56.src.rpm downloaded from atrpms.net, and
rebuilt from it(rpmrebuild ...). Postfix is 2.4.3.
I followed documents at http://wiki.dovecot.org/LDA and LDA/Postfix, and

no longer goes to standby when lid is closed
since I got the big bolus of updates from the CR repo a few days ago my
netbook (AcerAspire One D255E) will no longer go to standby when the
lid is closed.
This was a Gnome desktopp installation with theh MATE desktop fromm
EPEL.
I've verified that the correct setting still exists in power manager
but it persists in continuing to run when the lid closes.
it WILL go to standby if explicitly

5.4 at last?
Now that it appears that some folks are able to get the 5.4 downloads
(and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all the centos team members who make this
possible!) I'm wondering when the updates will begin flowing so that those
of us running 5.3 can do "yum upgrade" and enjoy all the benefits too?
Thanks in advance!

another bizarre thing...
Hi all!
I'm stuck on something really bizarre that is happening to a product
I "own" at work. It's a C program, built on CentOS, runs on CentOs or
RHEL, has been in circulation since the early 00's, is in use at
hundreds of sites.
recently, at multiple customer sites it has started just going away.
no core file (yes, ulimit is configured), nothing in any of its

more questions on setting up autofs on C7
Hi!
Thanks to some of you I got autofs set up on my C7 netbook for
mounting local cifs filesytems.
Now I want to do something on my C7 desktop machine, that seems to
me to be a little different, and I"m not sure how to do it.
I have an external RAID1 box that attaches via USB. It is/will be
nearly always /dev/sdc, but being USB I can't guarantee that it
will always be found there.
