USB devices - libgphoto2 - PTP - hplip
Hi All,
I'm trying to disable USB storage devices in Centos7.1.1503.
I've setup udev rules to block all usb devices and then additional rules
to allow specific vendors / products to be used (mainly keyboards and
mice). This is all working perfectly.
cat /etc/udev/rules.d/01-usblockdown.rules
# Block all USB devices
ACTION=="add", SUBSYSTEMS=="usb", RUN+="/bin/sh

Hi,
I have CentOS 7 with KDE on my workstation. I'm using the CR repo. I had
to remove Digikam to be able to do the latest update (1 GB of updates...
wow). Here's what happens when I try to reinstall it.

Hi list, recently I wrote a short article about building a
dovecot-sieve plugin for the current CentOS-included version of
dovecot:

NIS or not?
Hi all,
We're getting to a point in our linux environment where it's starting to be
cumbersome to keep shadow and passwd-files up-to-date for the users to login
on each computer. Scripts can only get us so far. 8-/
I've looked a bit into central login systems for linux, and NIS and LDAP seem
to be prevalent. NIS being the simpler-to-setup solution for small to medium
networks as

'exiv2-libs-compat' (S)RPM exist somewhere that I

It looks like the problem is solved. I just installed Digikam, and it
went fine, without any extra -compat packages.

What I am asking is if the command above is part of SELinux since I doesn't
use before because it's a VM running on my PC so I not need such security
levels.

Is anyone successfully using hplip under CentOS?

HPLIP
First, has anyone successfully installed the HPLIP driver from HP in
CentOS4?
Second, does that driver really provide the toolbox which includes handy
stuff like ink level monitoring?
I got the source RPM (hplip-0.9.4-1.1.src.rpm) from an FC4 testing
mirror, which rebuilt fine on this machine:
