I want to convert the percent lunar illumination (fraction of moon showing) to a combination of sin and cos variables to account for the periodic nature of the lunar cycle. Would someone let me know if I am doing this correctly? I have included the first 20 variables

However, I don't have x-y coordinates, but my data is in a distance matrix format. Is it possible to use the SpDep package with predefined distances as well instead of letting the program determining the distance itself by the function

Permutations
Dear R-users, Is there an easy way to determine all possible vectors of length 21 with each entry having permutations from 0 to 4, instead of doing it like this? It really takes up too much time, and I am convinced that there exists something easier. Can you help me? Thank you in advance! Kind regards, Elke for (a in 0:4){ for (b in 0:4){ for (c in 0:4){ for (d in 0:4){

So, when an user creates or changes a folder/file inside that shares, the folder/file has its group changed to the primary group of the user that have made the changes on it. How can I determine to which group this folder/file will belong at the

ogg "chapters"?
i'm thinking about albums like "dark side of the moon" and also live bands (especially live-pa) and DJs where there's a continuous flow from one song to the next... i could use a MKV file with vorbis or mp3 and include a chapter listing [with named chapters], that would allow listening to the whole thing with no skipping between songs. at the same time, a listener can skip

doing zero inflated glmm for count data with fmr
Hello R users, Doing My PhD I collected count data which I believe is zero inflated. I have run a statistical model with lmer and family=poisson and got summary(model)@sigma=1 so I believe there is no overdispertion. I'm having problems with samba using the 2K PDC. I've gotten it to successfully join the 2K PDC via smbpasswd. Winbindd is running and I can ping it. missing def file in vorbis win32 build stuff
I was just trying to build the shared lib stuff and include it into RC4 of FreeAmp 2.1 today, but I found that the .def file for the vorbis build stuff is missing and therefore no .lib file is generated. Is there a reason for that, or is it just an omission? In any case, I will hold off on the latest and greatest vorbis stuff in FreeAmp until next week.... --ruaok Freezerburn! All else
