problems building nfdump / nfsen
Hey folks, I posted this as part of another old thread but am starting
a new thread for it because I got no response. I've also since found
the nfdump mailing list but it seems to be dead. I was not able to
find either of these guys in a CentOS repository anywhere, so I'm
building them manually. Below was on CentOS 5.2.

I'm going to kick this old thread because I'm

ganglia failing dependency
hello list,
I'm trying to install ganglia-gmetad on centos 5.6. rrdtool is already installed and librrd is there. But for some reason when I go to install this package it doesn't see that it is.

nfsen daemon dies for unknown reason
Hello,
I am using nfsen 1.3.5 (http://nfsen.sourceforge.net/) on CentOS 5.8 x86_64 (running as a VM on a KVM Host).
For those not knowing it, nfsen is using php and perl and it allows graphing and analysis of (Cisco routers) netflow data captured using nfdump.
Often (about once a day) nfsen crashes for unknown reason. For example:
# /data/nfsen/bin/nfsen status
NfSen version: 1.3.5

You shouldn't need to, no.
I'm guessing you've got a cruddy version installed from somewhere else, else
the yum install would have just worked, but I'm just guessing as you've not

Im very sorry.
You were right, yum install works flawlessly for rrdtool, rrdtool-devel
and rrdtool-perl packages.
I tryed on a fresh centos7 install.
The problem is that my Os is not a centos7 instead is a redhat 7.
Since I dont have any support for this , I asked some help here. I
thought that repositories are the same for fedora, redhat and centos.
My mistake ...
I dont know what to do now.

Reports in Puppet
Hi,
I wanted to configure reporting in puppet. I came across the
below links which says what needs to be added in config file to enable
reports.
But I was wondering how I view the visual report/graphs do I need to
create my own script.

NTOP alternatives?
Hi all.
I have currently a task to implement a network traffic analyzer. Some years
ago I've used NTOP for that purpose, I would also like to test some
alternatives.
Which alternatives can you recommend and why?
Thanks ;)
Best regards,
Rafa? Radecki.

Perl-related problem on rrdtool?
On CentOS 4.5, I have Cacti and Nagios installed. I'm trying to
"glue" them together with a program called n2rdd but am having a
problem that I wondering is Perl-related.
When I run "tail /var/log/nagios/rra/n2rrd.log", I see lots of this
sort of thing:
server01: Missing template for "server01" service "check_ping"
