smbldap_search_suffix: certificate verify failed
Hi :)
I'm using samba-3.0 with LDAP as a PDC under FreeBSD-5.1.
Note that I compiled samba --with-ldap, not --with-ldapsam.
I'm having a strange problem with TLS ldap certificates.
If I set the following option in smb.conf: "ldap ssl = start_tls", I get
errors like this:
$ pdbedit -L
Failed to issue the StartTLS instruction: Connect error
Connection to LDAP Server failed for

PyPI package keeps upgrading/installing
I''m having a problem with a pypi package/the pip provider.
The package name is riak_pb https://pypi.python.org/pypi/riak_pb/.
The problem I''m having is puppet keeps installing/upgrading the package
every run. I suspect it has something to do with the hyphen/underscore.
I have also tried changing the riak_pb package name in the init.pp to
riak-pb. The pypi API

Mystery of email authentication
I'm trying to setup sendmail/dovecot on a new server running CentOS-6

Everything seems to go well, but when I run fetchmail I get this warning:

fetchmail: Warning: the connection is insecure, continuing anyways. (Better
use --sslcertck!)

apt-get installing packages with dependencies
Hi,
I''m having trouble installing packages that have dependencies. (I can
install packages like zip fine.)
for example I would like to install s3cmd.
Installing from command line I would run.
#apt-get -y -o APT::Install-Suggests="true" install s3cmd
which will install python-support & s3cmd.
My init.pp files looks like this

[LLVMdev] http://llvm.org/perf/ instability: some clues
Daniel, Tobias, Renato and myself have been looking a little bit at the
potential underlying reason
for why http://llvm.org/perf/ is instable, and have found some clues. I want
to share them here
to give people with more experience in the frameworks used by LNT (flask,
sqlalchemy, wsgi, .)
a chance to check if our reasoning below seems plausible.

[PATCH 3/3] builder: Use the new Curl module for passing parameters to curl.
These are now passed using a curl configuration file, which is a
little bit safer than using command lines. virt-builder doesn't need
to pass usernames and passwords to curl, but if it ever does in future
this will be a lot safer.

Samba 3.3 ldap tools
I am currently trying to setup my Samba server to act as a samba PDC, with ldap as a backend. I have a selfsigned CA, that has signed the certificates to my ldap server.
Starting my smbd, i keep getting the message

build in iexplore.exe
Hi
I want to start the buil-in iexplore.exe. I created a new .wine
directory and typed
#wine iexplore.exe
Then it tries to download the Mozilla ActiveX PlugIn and this is where
the problem starts:
The download window shows, but it doesn't start the download.
I am sitting behind a proxy server (no authorisation needed), and the
proxy is setup correctly:

SSL: Server CommonName mismatch: localhost.localdomain
Greetings,
I have seen via google that this very problem was already discussed on
several lists some months ago, but the archives report no solution.
I have a remote server with dovecot 1.0-0_12.beta8 on Centos 4.3. IMAP
works just fine: I can read email from both Squirrelmail via web and
Kmail.
Now I have created an ssl certificate on the server, and I'm trying to
retrieve email via pop3s

Samba Ldap tls/ssl problem
Hi!
I know this should be asked to the Openldap mailing list but:
I?m trying to set up a Samba/ldap environment were the Samba server is separated
from the ldap server. Everything seams to work on the ldap server and when I do
a ldapsearch like this:
ldapsearch -H ldap://l1.dbb.su.se/ -b dc=dbb,dc=su,dc=se ?x
Everything works on both.
But when I do:
ldapsearch -H ldaps://l1.dbb.su.se/ -b

SAMBA + LDAP + TLS
Hi there guys, do not know if post this here or in openldap list, sorry if I
disturb you.
I configured samba+ldap as a PDC and byt now it's working fine, so, I
decided to put some security to the stuff.
The problem is that I coudl not make it work, here I what I've done.
This is what netstat shows.
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:389 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN
tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:636 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN

[PATCH] customize: Use setarch when running commands on i686 guest (RHBZ#1256405).
When running (eg) dnf on a 32 bit i686 guest when the host is 64 bit
x86_64, dnf believes it is running on a 64 bit machine and so tries to
install x86_64 packages. We can 'trick' dnf into believing it's a 32
bit machine using the setarch program.
