Intel Xorg driver for Intel HD graphics
I found this page: https://01.org/linuxgraphics/downloads/2015q4-intel-graphics-stack-release I have an Intel NUC5C with "Intel HD" graphics and I'm trying to use CentOS 7.2 I downloaded the files suggested: cairo-1.14.4.tar.xz libva-1.6.2.tar.bz2 mesa-11.0.4.tar.xz intel-gpu-tools-1.13.tar.bz2 libva-intel-driver-1.6.2.tar.bz2 xf86-video-intel-2.99.917.tar.gz

Intel 4600 Graphics (Haswell) in CentOS 6.4
Quick question that I haven't been able to find the answer to (and not for lack of trying, believe me): Is dual-monitor display for the new Intel HD Graphics 4600 (Haswell, e.g. Intel E3-1200v3 family processors) supported in CentOS 6.4? In particular, I'm looking at a SuperMicro X10SAE; SuperMicro has already replied that triple-display only works with a VGA-HDMI-DP combo (lame) and only

always boot from Elrepo kernel
Hello All, I purchased some Dell Latitude 3570 laptops. They came with Ubuntu preinstalled. ( Which I swapped for Centos7) I have to use Elrepo kernel on these machines to get some of the fn function keys to work. So I installed Elrepo's kernel-ml and selected this kernel with: # grub2-set-default 0 ( after disabling secure boot) The problem I see is that after a next kernel update,

Software Updater issue
Hey All, Heads up! For some reason the Software Updater thought it would be interesting for me if it upgraded my nvidia 304 driver with the nvidia 310.32-1 driver. That would be nice if the 310 driver supported my crusty old GS 7600 but it doesn't. I had to run two yum downgrade sessions to get it back to working again. First downgrade brought me 310.19-2, which doesn't support

CentOS 7.2, nouveau won't go away
Hi, folks, Fully updated 7.2 system. I installed the correct proprietary NVidia driver (the user's expensive proprietary visualization software won't run with nouveau), I've put nouveau.modeset=0 rd.driver.blacklist=nouveau on the kernel line for grub2, and even yum removed the nouveau driver and built a new initrd... which won't boot, it seems to start and than does nothing,

elrepo problem?
So much for elrepo being a painless way to get working Nvidia drivers... Yum update (or just update glibc) says: --> Processing Dependency: /usr/sbin/ldconfig for package: nvidia-x11-drv-304xx-304.123-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 --> Finished Dependency Resolution Error: Package: nvidia-x11-drv-304xx-304.123-1.el7.elrepo.x86_64 (@elrepo) Requires: /usr/sbin/ldconfig Removing:

Installing IMA (Integrity Measurement Architecture) on CentOS 5.5
I'm trying to install IMA (http://linux-ima.sourceforge.net/) on CentOS 5.5, but the shipped kernel does not support it. One solution is to install a 2.6.30 kernel, but I don't really like this idea. Does anybody has tried to install it? Regards, Andreas

xorg updates hose GUI with Nvidia driver
Just a heads up that once again an xorg update has removed the link in /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions that points to libglx.so.325.15 in /usr/lib64/xorg/modules/extensions/nvidia thus breaking X. This should only effect those with nvidia proprietary driver. One of the following packages is the culprit but I have not tried to narrow it down. I have done updates and downgrades several

Upgrading 5.5 to 5.8 with yum?
Good afternoon, I've been running a CentOS 5.5 system for a while using some Nvidia drivers for an older Nvidia card (GeForce 6200 card). I'd like to upgrade to 5.8 using yum but I was curious if anyone has done this using yum? Any gotchas? (I can handle the Nvidia upgrade part once the system is upgraded). Thanks! Jeff BTW - I'm using driver 256.35 and looking at Nvidia's
