Saving session with terminal window open upon logout
Hello everyone, I tried Googling this, looking through admin notes...and I couldn't find this. And I know someone smart out here has the answer! When I log out of a user account, I want it to, when I log back in, have a terminal window pop up on my Gnome windows display, as I did before I logged out. How do I save a session before or as I log out? I am running Centos 6.7, 64-bit. Gilbert

Network menu doesn't appear on system menu on CentOS 6.6
Hello everyone, I am not seeing the "Network" menu option (to configure the network) on one of my CentOS 6.6 machines, even on user root, in Gnome. It's not anywhere else, either. Can anyone point me in the direction of having that added? Thanks! Gilbert ******************************************************************************* Gilbert Sebenste

CentOS 6.6 64-bit won't install on a 3 TB disk
Have you tried manually putting the kernel/initrd files where they are missing from? Having said that, relying on this machine as a server seems questionable under the circumstances. :-) Lucian -- Sent from the Delta quadrant using Borg technology! How to save a Gnome screen layout on CentOS 6.5 after logging off?
Hello everyone, A quick Gnome question that has vexed me. In CentOS 5.10, if I have, say, an X terminal window up on my screen, the next time I log in, it's there when I log in as an unprivileged user. That's because I can save the layout the way I want to; there's a checkbox for it to save the layout upon exiting. I see none for CentOS 6.5. So, my X-terminal isn't there when I

Streaming video with Centos 5.2...how to?
Hello all, I am a noob to streaming video, and I have a file I'd like to stream (a .wmv file...sorry. ;-) ). In any case, how can I do this on my website using Centos 5.2 and Apache 2.2.8, rather than making people download a 20 MB video? Can someone point me to some URL's and some software? Thanks for any help, I greatly appreciate it! Gilbert
