Well, what's process 23391, and does Xorg stop using a lot of CPU time
if you terminate it?

Problem mapping Samba shares in Windows
Hi,
In our company we are currently running a Samba server and Windows XP clients.
At the moment we are having problems with mapping Samba shares in Windows.
Shares are being mapped through a windows startup script, which executes net use (with the option persistent:no) command.
For most users this works most of the time, nevertheless it often fails, the exect reason for this isn't clear

Clunky Xorg with latest 6.7 upgrade?
What video card are you using? Xorg driver or proprietary binary thing?
The next thing I'd do is boot the last kernel under which you saw
"normal" performance. If booting the older kernel doesn't fix the
problem, then the problem is probably the X11 server. At that point,
I'd start using "yum downgrade" to revert individual components, and
reboot until you

AEC on a TI C6x - has no effect
For me, this was a memory allocation problem. I am using a private heap,
and somewhere between build 11522 and 11700, the allocation for two large
buffers was changed from calloc to speex_alloc (I am sure that this was a
cleanup change, and I have not had a chance to locate it yet). This was
overrunning my heap, and enlarging the heap solved the problem.
I suspect that Itay is having a

Itay,
I tested on C6x in May with build 11343 and 11398, and it worked fine. I just ran the same test with build 11768, and there was no cancellation, just as you saw. I will try to track this down in the next day or two. In the meantime, I suggest that you try testing with 11398.

unlockEnvironment()?
R lets one lock an environment with both an R function,
base::lockEnvironment, and a C function, R_LockEnvironment, but, as far as
I can tell, no corresponding function to unlock an environment. Is this
omission on principle or just something that has not been done yet?
I ask because several packages, including the well-used R6 and rlang
packages, fiddle with some bits in with SET_ENVFLAGS and
