After a manual fix I have that, too. Point is that for historic hosts this symlink doesn't exist. The upgrade fails due to dbus becoming unavailable. And the next reboot fails, too, because the symlink is not created automatically. Can you confirm this? Regards Harri

I have a VPS running C7. I ran a 'yum update' which included a kernel update. The yum update wasn't a total success because mariadb updates failed. However everything else appeared to work. However, when I rebooted the server it did not restart. I have managed to get the ISP's support desk to boot the server by selecting the previous kernel, and I now have access to my box again.

Hi all! Is anybody here using rsyslog? I am looking for the right solution how to use rsyslog in CentOS 5 as the default logging daemon. We use it because of filtering using regular expressions.
