Installing 6.8 from DVD1.iso, changes
Downloaded 6.8 DVD1.iso, dd to stick. Went through same selections I have gone through since 6.2, only this time it got to the end and stated it couldn't find rear, which is under "backup client". OK, try it again without rear. This time it's yum-plugin-ovl from base (?). Then chrony, also in base (?). Then flightrecorder, libreswan, at least 2 of openmpi & co. and

documentation on installing dvd2 in 6.3 x64 release?
Hello - I've searched the CentOS 6.3 wiki docs (Help, Tips and Tricks, HowTo, FAQ, and website search) on how to install the dvd2.iso image on an x86-64 machine and can't find any info and the documentation is not yet posted for CentOS 6.x. When the dvd1.iso for 6.3 x86_64 installs, it does not prompt to install dvd2.iso. Please provide a URL which describes how to install the

Hi, I have a machine with a BIOS that does not permit DVD installation. It accepts everything else including some old superseded media types. Is it possible to download C6 combined parts 1 and 2 not using Torrent ? I have an aversion to using anything that comes from unknown sources, as used by Torrent. Thank you. -- Regards, Paul. MS Flight Simulator?
Anybody had any luck getting MS flight simulator running? I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 on Intel and got to missing the Winders flight simulators after someone just gave me FS-X. It starts to install fine until it asks for the second DVD, which it never sees. When I click the Retry button, it keeps coming back with "Insert Disk #2." Any ideas? --timeout=... lesson learned...
I thought other might benefit from this lesson learned and thought it maybe should be added to the man-pages. I thought my network connection was glitchy and hence set rsync up for --timeout=120 but I found out that I was actually causing the glitch with this script: #! /bin/sh - while true; do rsync -avz --progress --timeout=120 --delete /media/rsync_gb01/movies/ myserver:movies; sleep 120; done

Which ISO format/layout does virt-builder expect?
I'm running into a bit of trouble using virt-builder and I'm hoping that someone might be able to point in the right direction. My build process creates a custom ISO image which is subsequently used to kickstart an Oracle X4-2 server using PXE. The ISO is a minimal install and contains a suite of packages and customization scripts to properly configure our box during first boot. The
